Tunisnews gained a reputation during the years (May 2000 to january 2012) for been a free and Independent news agency. Reporting daily on events happening in Tunisia concerning Tunisians (living inside and outside the country), North Africans, Arabs and Muslims in general. It is a collection of a daily newsletters sent to subscribers and browsed online on the official website Tunisnews.net. It includes information about the Tunisian opposition parties, NGOs, organisations in Tunisia, list of events, documents, and daily discussions amongst the readers, thinkers and some of the opposition activists. North Africa
North Africa, or Northern Africa is a region encompassing the northern portion of the African continent. There is no singularly accepted scope for the region, and it is sometimes defined as stretching from the Atlantic shores of Mauritania in the west, to Egypt's Suez Canal. Varying sources limit it to the countries of Algeria, Libya, Morocco, and Tunisia, a region that was known by the French during colonial times as "''Afrique du Nord''" and is known by Arabs as the Maghreb ("West", ''The western part of Arab World''). Muslims ( ar, المسلمون, , ) are people who adhere to Islam, a monotheistic religion belonging to the Abrahamic tradition. They consider the Quran, the foundational religious text of Islam, to be the verbatim word of the God of Abraham (or '' Allah'') as it was revealed to Muhammad, the main Islamic prophet. Media Of Tunisia
The mass media in Tunisia is an economic sector. Under the authoritarian regimes of Habib Bourguiba, and then Zine el-Abidine Ben Ali, it saw periods of liberalization and then challenges, notably due to Tunisian censorship. The 2010-2011 Tunisian protests and the subsequent change in government may bring significant change in this domain.
