Tsewang Norbu
Tsewang Norbu (; ; 9 October 1996 – 25 February 2022) was a Tibetan singer who performed in Tibetan, Mandarin Chinese, and English. He rose to national prominence in China through his performances in various variety shows. On 25 February 2022, a Tibetan man lit himself on fire outside the Potala Palace, the former residence of the Dalai Lama. It was later confirmed that the man was Norbu. Early life Norbu was born on 1996 in Nagqu. Both his parents were musicians, which led him to have an interest in music from a young age. Norbu attended and graduated from Tibet University. His uncle Sogkhar Lodoe is a political prisoner. Music career In 2014, Norbu participated in the music variety show ''Road to Star'', produced by Guangdong Satellite TV. In the show, he played piano and sang Tibetan songs, reaching the top twelve in the Western Division and top forty-eight in the country. Nagqu
Nagqu (also Naqu, Nakchu, or Nagchu; ; ) is a prefecture-level city in the north of the Chinese autonomous region of Tibet. On May 7, 2018, the former Nagqu Prefecture was officially declared the sixth prefecture-level city in Tibet after Lhasa, Shigatse, Chamdo, Nyingchi and Shannan. The regional area, covering an area of , is bordered by Bayingolin and Hotan Prefectures of Xinjiang to the north, Haixi, Yushu Prefectures of Qinghai and Chamdo to the east, Nyingchi, Lhasa and Shigatse to the south, Ngari Prefecture to the west. As of the 2010 census, it had a population of 462,381. Nagqu contains 89 townships, 25 towns and 1283 villages. The main city of Nagqu is by the China National Highway 109 northeast of Lhasa. Sing! China (season 6)
The sixth season of the Chinese reality talent show ''Sing! China'' premiered on 30 July 2021, on Zhejiang Television. Li Ronghao returned as coach for his third consecutive season. Former coach Wang Feng returned to the coaching panel after a four-season hiatus. Na Ying also returned after a one-season hiatus, but only as a coach during the blind auditions and was later replaced by Liao Changyong. Kelsang Gyaltsen Bawa (born 1966) is a Tibetan politician. He is the representative of the Tibet Office in Taiwan.
