Tripura Cricket Team
The Tripura cricket team is a domestic cricket team representing the Indian state of Tripura. History Cricket developed later in Tripura than in most other parts of India with competitions first organized in the early 1960s, and the Tripura Cricket Association forming in 1968. Tripura entered the Ranji Trophy, along with Goa and Himachal Pradesh, when the competition was expanded for the 1985–86 season. They have always been one of the weaker sides in the competition. Up to the end of 2020, they had played 183 first-class matches resulting in nine wins, 116 losses and 58 draws. In List A cricket they had played 120 matches resulting in 18 wins, 101 losses and one no-result. In 1985–86, fielding a team with no previous first-class experience, Tripura lost all four matches, the first three by an innings. Wriddhiman Saha
Wriddhiman Prasanta Saha (born 24 October 1984) is an Indian cricketer who plays for the Indian national cricket team. He is a right-handed wicket-keeper batsman. He plays for Tripura in domestic cricket and for Gujarat Titans in the Indian Premier League. He was the first cricketer to score a century in an Indian Premier League final. Saha made his Test debut in February 2010, as a specialist batsman. He scored his maiden Test century at St. Lucia on a tour of the Caribbean. Domestic career Saha played for the Under-19s and the Under-22s team before being promoted to first-class cricket. Odisha Cricket Team
The Odisha cricket team (known as Orissa until 2011) is a domestic cricket team based in the Indian state of Odisha. It is in the elite group of the Ranji Trophy. Its main home ground is Barabati Stadium in Cuttack. Home matches are also played at DRIEMS Ground in Cuttack, East Coast Railway Stadium in Bhubaneswar, Veer Surendra Sai Stadium in Sambalpur, KIIT Cricket Stadium in Bhubaneswar and other grounds. The team's recent best performance in the Ranji Trophy came in the 2016–17 season and 2019-20 season, when they advanced to the quarter-final stage. Atal Bihari Vajpayee Stadium or Nadaun Stadium or Amtar Ground is a cricket stadium in Nadaun, Himachal Pradesh, India. The ground first held a List A match in January 2005 when Himachal Pradesh played the Services in the 2004/05 Ranji Trophy one-day competition. The ground has held four List A matches, the last of which came in the same competition and saw Haryana played Jammu and Kashmir, though the match itself was abandoned without a ball bowled due to rain. Ajay Ratra
Ajay Ratra (born 13 December 1981) is a former Indian cricketer. He is a right-handed batsman and wicketkeeper. He made his ODI debut on Jan 19, 2002 against England. Ratra was selected in 2000 for the first intake of the National Cricket Academy in Bangalore. When Ratra made an innings of 115 not out in 2002 against the West Indies, he was the youngest wicketkeeper to make a century in Tests, and first Indian wicketkeeper to make an overseas century. After he was injured in 2002, he was replaced by Parthiv Patel, the youngest ever Test wicketkeeper. Ratra then fell behind Mahendra Singh Dhoni, Dinesh Karthik and Patel in the pecking order. Timir Chanda
Timir Chanda (born 1 January 1975) is a former Indian cricketer, coach and administrator. An opening bowler, he played first-class and List A cricket for Tripura from 1995 to 2013. In the Ranji Trophy in 2010-11, Chanda took 4 for 35 and 7 for 116 in Tripura's seven-wicket victory over Goa at Porvorim. Goa Cricket Association Academy Ground
The Goa Cricket Association Academy Ground, formerly known as the District Institute of Education and Training Ground, is a cricket ground in Porvorim, Goa, India. The first recorded match held on the ground came in November 2008 when Goa Under-16s played Kerala Under-16s. Two first-class matches have been played at the ground, the first of which came in the 2011-11 Ranji Trophy. The first saw Goa play Jharkhand, while the second saw Tripura as the visitors. Rajasthan Cricket Team
The Rajasthan cricket team is a cricket team which represents the Indian state of Rajasthan. The team won the Ranji Trophy in the 2010–11 and 2011-12 seasons, having finished runners-up eight times between 1960–61 and 1973-74. It is currently in the Ranji Trophy Elite group. It is run by the Rajasthan Cricket Association and is popularly known as "Team Rajasthan". Palam A Stadium, also known as Air Force Station or Model Sports Complex, is a cricket ground in Dwarka Road, Palam, New Delhi. The ground was established in 1958, and since then it has been regular venue for cricket for Services cricket team. The ground has also hosted few matches for the Delhi and Railways cricket teams. Services Cricket Team
The Services cricket team plays in the Ranji Trophy, the main domestic first-class cricket competition in India. Under the auspices of the Services Sports Control Board, they represent the Indian Armed Forces. Their home ground is the Palam A Ground, Model Sports Complex, Delhi. Records The Services team first played in the Ranji Trophy in 1949–50. They played in the North Zone of the competition until 2001–02, and have played in the Plate Group and other lower-ranked groups since 2002–03, except for one season, where they played in the Elite Group, during 2005–06.
