Goa Cricket Association Academy Ground
The Goa Cricket Association Academy Ground, formerly known as the District Institute of Education and Training Ground, is a cricket ground in Porvorim, Goa, India. The first recorded match held on the ground came in November 2008 when Goa Under-16s played Kerala Under-16s. Two first-class matches have been played at the ground, the first of which came in the 2011-11 Ranji Trophy. The first saw Goa play Jharkhand, while the second saw Tripura as the visitors. The Goa Cricket Academy is based at the ground. Porvorim (pronounced ''Parvari '' ), is the ''De facto'' legislative and executive capital of the state of Goa, India, as both the Goa Legislative Assembly and Secretariat are functioning from the same complex in the region of Alto Porvorim in porvorim.(Alto – Portuguese word meaning high or upper). Cricket is a bat-and-ball game played between two teams of eleven players on a field at the centre of which is a pitch with a wicket at each end, each comprising two bails balanced on three stumps. Colonel H. H. Shri Knight, Sir Ranjitsinhji Vibhaji II, Jam Saheb of Nawanagar, (10 September 1872 – 2 April 1933), often known as Ranji or K. S. Jharkhand Cricket Team
The Jharkhand Cricket Team is a first-class cricket team based in the Indian state of Jharkhand. When the old state of Bihar was split into Jharkhand state and Bihar state, the Jharkhand team took the place of the Bihar cricket team, as much of the former's state's cricketing infrastructure was in Jharkhand. Tripura Cricket Team
The Tripura cricket team is a domestic cricket team representing the Indian state of Tripura. History Cricket developed later in Tripura than in most other parts of India with competitions first organized in the early 1960s, and the Tripura Cricket Association forming in 1968. Tripura entered the Ranji Trophy, along with Goa and Himachal Pradesh, when the competition was expanded for the 1985–86 season. They have always been one of the weaker sides in the competition.
