Tom Helm (cricketer)
Thomas George Helm (born 7 May 1994) is a cricketer who plays for Middlesex County Cricket Club. A fast bowler from Buckinghamshire, Helm signed for Middlesex in June 2012 when he was 18. Angus Fraser, Middlesex's Managing Director of Cricket, said of Helm's -year contract deal: "Tom is an exciting young fast bowler and we are delighted to have him on board. He is the fifth local boy we have signed in the past couple of years - Ravi Patel, Adam Rossington, Gurjit Sandhu and Ollie Wilkin are the others - and we hope that, along with these other cricketers, he will play a major role in Middlesex cricket in years to come.” He made his List A debut against Yorkshire in June 2013. A One Day International (ODI) is a form of limited overs cricket, played between two teams with international status, in which each team faces a fixed number of overs, currently 50, with the game lasting up to 9 hours. The Cricket World Cup, generally held every four years, is played in this format. The England cricket team toured Pakistan in September and October 2022 to play seven Twenty20 International (T20I) matches as a preparatory series before the 2022 ICC Men's T20 World Cup.
