Tianjin South Railway Station
Tianjin South railway station () is a high-speed railway station in Xiqing District, Tianjin, China. It is served by some trains on the BeijingâShanghai high-speed railway. This station is built as an elevated station and is part of the Tianjin Grand Bridge. Xiqing District
Xiqing District () is a district in Tianjin, People's Republic of China. History The current Xiqing area came into existence in the mid and late Tang dynasty. In Northern Song (Song dynasty) period, this area was the border of Song and Liao (Liao dynasty). In Ming dynasty, this area was under control of Jinghai County and Wuqing County, Hejian Fu. In Qing dynasty, it was governed by Tianjin Fu. In 1912, after the founding of Republic of China, this area was named Tianjin County, Zhili Province. Tianjin Grand Bridge
Tianjin Grand Bridge (LangfangâQingxian viaduct) is a railway viaduct bridge that runs between Langfang and Qingxian, part of the BeijingâShanghai High-Speed Railway. It is one of the longest bridges in the world with a total length of about . It was completed in 2010 and opened in 2011. At the time Guinness World Records recorded it as the second longest bridge in the world. The design of the elevated track was chosen on the one hand to avoid numerous individual structures for crossing roads and railways, and on the other to shorten the construction period.
