Thomas Rüfenacht
Thomas Rufenacht (born February 22, 1985) is a Swiss-American professional ice hockey player who is currently playing with HC Ambrì-Piotta of the National League (NL). Playing career On November 4, 2013, Rüfenacht agreed to a three-year contract with SC Bern. On October 27, 2016, he signed a three-year contract extension with Bern worth CHF 1.2 million. On November 5, 2019, Rüfenacht was signed to a two-year contract extension worth CHF 1.4 mio by Bern, through the 2021/22 season. HC Ambrì-Piotta
Hockey Club Ambrì-Piotta is a Switzerland, Swiss professional ice hockey club and a member of the National League (ice hockey), National League (NL). The club was founded September 19, 1937, and is also known as "Bianco-Blu" (English: white and blues). Though they have never won the league championship, the club has not been relegated to the Swiss League since being promoted in 1985, the same year that saw the arrival of Dale McCourt. The team plays its home games in the 7,000-seat Nuova Valascia. Goal (ice Hockey)
In ice hockey, a goal is scored when the puck entirely crosses the goal line between the two goal posts and below the goal crossbar. A goal awards one point to the team attacking the goal scored upon, regardless of which team the player who actually deflected the puck into the goal belongs to (see also own goal). Typically, a player on the team attempting to score shoots the puck with their stick towards the goal net opening, and a player on the opposing team called a goaltender tries to block the shot to prevent a goal from being scored against their team. 2007–08 NLA Season
The 2007–08 National League A season, was the first ice hockey season of the National League A since the reorganization of the Swiss league and the 70th in the history of Swiss professional hockey. There were some rule changes to the standings and playoff format and the league officially changed its name to National League A. The Swiss League is the second tier of the main professional ice hockey league in Switzerland, behind the National League. The winners of the league each season plays a best-of-seven series against the bottom team of the NL, and if they win, they are promoted, while the National League team is relegated to the Swiss League. Prior to the 2017–18 season, the league was formerly called National League B. The league attendance in 2018–19 was about 2,700 spectators. EHC Visp
EHC Visp is a Swiss professional ice hockey team based in Visp and competing in the Swiss League (SL). The club was founded in 1939 and became Swiss champion in 1962. Visp has also won the league title in NLB three times; 1960, 2011 and 2014. Their home arena is the 5,150-seat Lonza Arena. The National League (NL) is a professional ice hockey league in Switzerland and is the top tier of the Swiss league system. Prior to the 2017–18 season, the league was known as National League A. During the 2018–19 season, the league had an average of 6,949 spectators per game which is the highest among European leagues (ahead of the KHL with 6,397 and the DEL with 6,215). The capital city's club SC Bern has been ranked first of all European clubs for 18 seasons and had an average attendance of 16,290 after the regular season. Culver Academies is a college preparatory boarding school located in Culver, Indiana, which is composed of three entities: Culver Military Academy (CMA) for boys, Culver Girls Academy (CGA), and the Culver Summer Schools and Camps (CSSC).
