The Plan (band)
The Plan is a Swedish band formed by Broder Daniel guitarist and subsequent bass player Theodor Jensen in 2000. History After having written own songs for a period of time, Jensen met organist Mikael Furugärde, drummer Niklas Korssell and bass player Peter Morén through mutual friends. The group recorded its first demo in the winter of 2000-2001 and were signed by EMI in early 2001. By that time, Jensen's childhood friend and Broder Daniel bandmate Håkan Hellström had – on his highly successful debut album Känn ingen sorg för mig Göteborg – already released an interpretation in Swedish of the Plan's song "Foggy Days" (called "Dom dimmiga dagarna"). The self-titled debut album was recorded during the summer of 2001 together with producer Ronald Bood, and at the time of its release in September that year, the first single "Mon Amour" was already climbing the charts. South By Southwest
South by Southwest, abbreviated as SXSW and colloquially referred to as South By, is an annual conglomeration of parallel film, interactive media, and music festivals and Convention (meeting), conferences organized jointly that take place in mid-March in Austin, Texas, United States. It began in 1987 and has continued to grow in both scope and size every year. In 2017, the conference lasted for 10 days with the interactive track lasting for five days, music for seven days, and film for nine days. "the Sweden top list") is the Swedish national record chart, formerly known as Topplistan (1975–1997) and Hitlistan (1998–2007) and known by its current name since October 2007, based on sales data from the Swedish Recording Industry Association (in Swedish Grammofonleverantörernas förening). Before Topplistan, music sales in Sweden were recorded by Kvällstoppen, whose weekly chart was a combined albums and singles list. CBGB was a New York City music club opened in 1973 by Hilly Kristal in Manhattan's East Village. The club was previously a biker bar and before that was a dive bar. The Grammis are music awards presented annually to musicians and songwriters in Sweden. The oldest Swedish music awards, they were instituted as a local equivalent of the Grammy Awards given in the United States. The awards ceremony is generally held each year in February in Stockholm. ''Känn ingen sorg för mig Göteborg'' is the debut studio album from Swedish musician Håkan Hellström. It was released on 16 October 2000. The album has sold over 40,000 copies, which equals a platinum certification in Sweden. Music and lyrics Musically, the album has been described as a Swedish version of ''Born to Run''-era Bruce Springsteen, with upbeat songs, ringy guitars, trumpet leads and vocal harmonies. Håkan Hellström
Håkan Georg Hellström (; born 2 April 1974) is a Swedish musician. He made his breakthrough in Sweden in 2000 with the song "Känn ingen sorg för mig Göteborg" and the album with the same name. He has released nine studio albums to date with eight reaching number one on the Swedish Albums Chart, while ''Ett kolikbarns bekännelser'' reached number two. Hellström played drums in the Swedish indie pop band Broder Daniel between 1988 and 1994, then briefly for Swedish alternative rock band Honey Is Cool with Karin Dreijer from The Knife and Fever Ray. In 1997 he rejoined Broder Daniel to play the bass, until 2003 when he left the band again to focus completely on his solo career. In 2006, following the birth of his son, he announced that he would take a break from touring and recording.
