''The Nation'' is an English-language daily newspaper owned by Majid Nizami Trust and based in Lahore, Pakistan since 1986. ''Rameeza'' is the Executive Editor of ''The Nation''. She is the adopted daughter of the renowned Pakistani journalist, the late Majid Nizami (3 April 1928-26 July 2014). It is published from Lahore, Islamabad, Multan and Karachi by the Nawa-i-Waqt Group, which was founded in 1940 by Hameed Nizami (3 Oct 1915–22 Feb 1962) and edited by him until his death in 1962. Nawa-i-Waqt newspaper was later led by Chief Editor Majid Nizami and his nephew, Editor Arif Nizami. Hameed Nizami
Hameed Nizami or Hamid Nizami (Punjabi, ur, ; b. 3 October 1915 – 22 February 1962), was an eminent journalist, literary figure, Pakistan Movement activist, and the founder as well as the editor-in-chief of the Urdu-language newspaper, the '' Nawa-i-Waqt'' (lit. 'The Voice of the Time'). He earned national prominence for penning several political articles and opinionated columns in support of successful Pakistan Movement while he played a crucial role in the growing influence of the print journalism in Pakistan. Arif Nizami (Punjabi, ur, ; 14 October 1948 – 21 July 2021) was a Pakistani journalist and caretaker federal minister who was the founder of the ''Pakistan Today''. Previously, he had been an editor of ''The Nation'' and had served as Minister of Information and Postal Service in the Khoso caretaker ministry.
