The MAX Sessions
''The MAX Sessions'' is an Australian television program broadcast on MAX. It features intimate performances, by both Australian and over-seas artists, played mostly acoustically in a live set up, similar to ''MTV Unplugged''. History ''The MAX Sessions'' were originally hosted by Crowded House drummer, Paul Hester, but after his suicide in March 2005, the hosting spot was taken by MAX TV personality Chit Chat Von Loopin Stab . As of late 2007, other MAX TV personality Yumi, took the hosting roll. The show began in early 2004 with rock group Coldplay headlining the first episode. Other artists, both Australian and from over-seas have appeared in its 30+ episodes. All but a few of the MAX Sessions broadcasts have been directed by Bernie Zelvis. ''The MAX Sessions'' are mainly filmed at the Sydney Opera House but are occasionally done in other special venues around Australia. John Butler Trio
The John Butler Trio are an Australian roots/ rock band led by guitarist and vocalist John Butler, an APRA and ARIA-award-winning musician. They formed in Fremantle in 1998 with Jason McGann on drums, Gavin Shoesmith on bass and John Butler on vocals. By 2009, the trio consisted of Butler with Byron Luiters on bass and Nicky Bomba on drums and percussion, the latter being replaced by Grant Gerathy in 2013. After both Luiters and Gerathy exited the trio in early 2019, bassist OJ Newcomb and drummer Terepai Richmond (also of The Whitlams) joined the band, accompanied by touring musician Elana Stone on keyboards, percussion and backing vocals. INXS (a phonetic play on "in excess") were an Australian rock band, formed as The Farriss Brothers in 1977 in Sydney, New South Wales. George (stylised as george) were an Australian rock band from Brisbane, Queensland. The band's first album, ''Polyserena'', reached No. 1 on the Australian charts on 17 March 2002. Background For most of george's career, the band consisted of Katie Noonan on vocals and keyboards, her brother Tyrone Noonan on vocals, guitar and keyboards, Geoff Green on drums and percussion, Paulie Bromley on bass guitar and Nick Stewart on guitar. Finn Brothers
The Finn Brothers are a New Zealand musical duo consisting of brothers Neil and Tim Finn. In June 1993 both members were awarded the OBE for their contribution to music. The two brothers began making music together at a young age; later, when Neil was 18, he was invited to join older brother Tim in Split Enz.
