The Ford Trophy
The Ford Trophy is the main domestic List A limited overs cricket competition in New Zealand. Previous sponsor State Insurance did not renew naming rights in 2009, resulting in the competition being renamed the ''New Zealand Cricket one-day competition''. The competition was renamed the Ford Trophy following a partnership between New Zealand Cricket and Ford Motor Company in 2011. Northern Districts Knights
The Northern Districts men's cricket team are one of six New Zealand first-class cricket teams that make up New Zealand Cricket. They are based in the northern half of the North Island of New Zealand (excluding Auckland). They compete in the Plunket Shield first-class competition, the Ford Trophy domestic one-day competition and the Men's Super Smash T20 competition as the Northern Brave. The T20 team was previously known as the Northern Knights until the 2021–22 season, when both the men's and women's teams were rebranded under the same name. 2018–19 Ford Trophy
The 2018–19 Ford Trophy was the 48th season of The Ford Trophy, the List A cricket tournament in New Zealand. It was the eighth in a sponsorship deal between New Zealand Cricket and Ford Motor Company. Originally scheduled to take place between December 2018 and February 2019, it was brought forward, starting on 24 October and finished on 1 December 2018. Unlike the previous edition of the competition, the tournament featured ten rounds of matches, instead of eight. Auckland were the defending champions. On 7 November 2018, in the fifth round fixture between Northern Districts and Central Districts, a new record in List A cricket was set for the most runs scored off one over, with 43. 2017–18 Ford Trophy
The 2017–18 Ford Trophy was the 47th season of the official List A cricket tournament in New Zealand, and the seventh in a sponsorship deal between New Zealand Cricket and Ford Motor Company. The competition ran from 3 December 2017 to 24 February 2018. Canterbury were the defending champions. The final round of fixtures were all abandoned due to rain. As a result, Central Districts topped the table and were joined in the final stage with Auckland, Northern Districts and Canterbury. After the preliminary final matches, Central Districts and Auckland had progressed to the tournament final. Auckland won the tournament, beating Central Districts by six wickets in the final. The Central Stags, formerly known as Central Districts, are a first-class cricket team based in central New Zealand. They are the men's representative side of the Central Districts Cricket Association. The 2010–11 New Zealand one-day competition is the 40th season of official List A domestic cricket in New Zealand. This year there is no sponsor for the one day competition.
