2017–18 Ford Trophy
The 2017–18 Ford Trophy was the 47th season of the official List A cricket tournament in New Zealand, and the seventh in a sponsorship deal between New Zealand Cricket and Ford Motor Company. The competition ran from 3 December 2017 to 24 February 2018. Canterbury were the defending champions. The final round of fixtures were all abandoned due to rain. Rangiora
Rangiora is the largest town and seat of the Waimakariri District, in Canterbury, New Zealand. It is north of Christchurch, and is part of the Christchurch metropolitan area. Rangiora Recreation Ground
Rangiora Recreation Ground (also known as the MainPower Oval through a sponsorship deal with local company MainPower) is a cricket ground in Rangiora, Canterbury, New Zealand. The Recreation Ground is recorded as being in existence since the early 1870s, and used for cricket since 1891. It first held a first-class match when Canterbury played Central Districts in the 2003/04 State Championship. Since the 2011 Christchurch earthquake damaged Lancaster Park beyond repair, Canterbury have played many of their first-class home matches in Rangiora. Todd Astle
Todd Duncan Astle (born 24 September 1986) is a New Zealand cricketer who plays for the New Zealand national cricket team. Astle began his cricket career as an opening batsman, representing New Zealand in the 2006 Under-19 Cricket World Cup, but over time playing first-class cricket for Canterbury, he morphed into a bowling all-rounder. He made his Test cricket debut for New Zealand in 2012 in Sri Lanka, but did not play another international match until 2015.
