The Amazing Race China
''The Amazing Race China'' () (Previously known as ''The Amazing Race'') is a Chinese adventure reality game show based on the international ''Amazing Race'' franchise. Following the premise of other versions of the format, the show follows teams of two as they race across China and around the world. Each season is split into legs, with teams tasked to deduce clues, navigate themselves in foreign areas, interact with locals, perform physical and mental challenges, and travel by air, boat, car, taxi, and other modes of transport. Teams are progressively eliminated at the end of most legs for being the last to arrive at designated Pit Stops. The first team to arrive at the Finish Line wins two trophies and additional prizes from the show's sponsors. Elise Doganieri (born April 21, 1967) is an American co-creator and co-executive producer of the CBS reality show ''The Amazing Race''. Doganieri's other credits include serving as show producer of ABC's ''Profiles From the Front Line'' as well as producer and story editor on the pilot for Paramount's "Wild Things." ''The Amazing Race'' is a reality adventure series follows teams of two (teams of four in season 8) racing around the world for a one million dollar prize. ''The Amazing Race 2'' () is the second installment of the Chinese reality television series ''The Amazing Race China, The Amazing Race'' (). Loosely based on the American reality TV series ''The Amazing Race (American TV series), The Amazing Race'', it initially features six teams of two in a race around the world. Singapore based Chinese-American actor Allan Wu, who was also the host of ''The Amazing Race Asia'' and ''The Amazing Race: China Rush'' and episodes 3 to 10 of the The Amazing Race 1 (China), first season returned for this season. Guo Jingjing (; born October 15, 1981, in Baoding, Hebei) is a retired Chinese female diver, and multi-time Olympic gold medalist and world champion. Guo is tied with her partner Wu Minxia for winning the most Olympic medals (6) of any female diver and she won the 3m springboard event at five consecutive World Championships.
