Taichung's 7th Redevelopment Zone
Taichung’s 7th Redevelopment Zone () is located in Xitun District and Nantun District, known to many local residents by its abbreviated Mandarin name "Qiqi" (七期). Before the Taichung's 7th Redevelopment Zone Plan, only a few farmhouses were scattered along a limited number of narrow streets. Today, this area is the site of Taichung's new city government center, and it is the central business district (CBD) of Taichung City. It features broad and widely spaced boulevards, attractive apartments, department stores, and office towers, which are brightly lit at night. There are many universities nearby, such as Tunghai University and Feng Chia University. Taichung (, Wade–Giles: ''Tʻai²-chung¹'', pinyin: ''Táizhōng''), officially Taichung City, is a special municipality located in central Taiwan. Taichung has approximately 2.8 million residents and is the second most populous city of Taiwan, as well as the most populous city in Central Taiwan. It serves as the core of the Taichung–Changhua metropolitan area, the second largest metropolitan area in Taiwan. Located in the Taichung Basin, the city was initially developed from several scattered hamlets helmed by the Taiwanese indigenous peoples. Tiger City () is a shopping center in Taichung's 7th Redevelopment Zone, Xitun District, Taichung, Taiwan that opened on January 16, 2002. Taichung Time Square CBD
The Taichung Time Square CBD () is a skyscraper office building located on 213 Chaofu Road, Xitun District, Taichung, Taiwan. Construction of the building started in 2013 and it was completed in 2015. The height of the building is , with a floor area of , and it comprises 34 floors above ground, as well as seven basement levels. The building is 22nd tallest building in Taichung. The building is similar in appearance to Sompo Japan Building. The La Bella Vita, also known as Huizhong Road Tower (), is a residential skyscraper located in Taichung's 7th Redevelopment Zone, Xitun District, Taichung, Taiwan. It is designed by Antonio Citterio Patricia Viel and Partners. The height of the building is , and it comprises 33 floors above ground, as well as six basement levels. Design Designed by the Milan-based architectural firm Antonio Citterio Patricia Viel and Partners (ACPV), the building combines Italian elements with Taiwanese culture, generating a tower composed of seemingly disjoint, yet complementary volumes, which symbolise the unique rock formations found in Taiwan. The exterior façade of La Bella Vita consists of a honeycomb-style crystalline-structured window that allows natural light into the building. The CTBC Taichung Headquarters (), is a skyscraper office building located in Taichung's 7th Redevelopment Zone, Xitun District, Taichung, Taiwan. Construction of the building began in 2014 and it was completed in 2017. The height of the building is , the floor area is , and it comprises 28 floors above ground, as well as six basement levels. It houses the headquarters of CTBC Financial Holding as well as Taiwan Life Insurance. Design The building was designed by the Spanish architectural team EMBT led by the architects Enric Miralles and Benedetta Tagliabue. T3, also known as Chingjia International Center (), is a skyscraper office building located in Taichung's 7th Redevelopment Zone, Xitun District, Taichung, Taiwan. The building was completed in 2013. The height of the building is and it comprises 30 floors above ground, as well as six basement levels. As of February 2021, it is the 49th tallest building in Taichung. The building is environmentally friendly and energy-saving and has a deep window glass façade. In addition to the 10-meter high three-entry style corridor entrance hall and modern offices, facilities of the office building includes a sky garden banquet hall on the top floor similar to the one at Lebua at State Tower in Bangkok, a fitness room on the 14th floor, and more than 10 conference rooms of various sizes.
