The Taguig Lady Generals are a women's professional basketball team playing in the Women's National Basketball League of the Philippines. Background The Taguig Lady Generals are one of the teams which participated in the inaugural season of the Women's National Basketball League (WNBL) of the Philippines when it was still an amateur league. Lino Edgardo Schramm Cayetano (born January 4, 1978) is a Filipino politician and television director who served as the Mayor of Taguig from 2019 to 2022. He previously served as the representative of the 2nd district of Taguig from 2013 to 2016, and was the Barangay Chairman of Fort Bonifacio from 2010 to 2013. Before entering politics, he was a television director for several shows on ABS-CBN. Cayetano was born to a political family currently based in Taguig. Taguig (), officially the City of Taguig ( fil, Lungsod ng Taguig), is a 1st class highly urbanized city in Metro Manila, Philippines. 2021 WNBL–Philippines Draft
The 2021 WNBL–Philippines draft was the Women's National Basketball League (Philippines), league's draft for the 2021 WNBL–Philippines season which is also the first season of the WNBL as a professional league. It is the first ever draft of the league. Delayed by restrictions related to the COVID-19 pandemic in the Philippines, COVID-19 pandemic, the draft was held on February 13, 2021.
