TV Fama
''TV Fama'' is a weekday Brazilian entertainment newsmagazine on RedeTV! which licenses the format of the American entertainment newsmagazine ''Entertainment Tonight''. The program is presented by Nelson Rubens and Íris Stefanelli. It is one of the oldest programs on the network. Since joining the air, ''TV Fama'' has significant average audience. History The program began on the first day of transmission of RedeTV! (November 15, 1999), showing only parties and events. It ended up leaving the air in two weeks. On July 17, 2000 the program returned to the air with the focus on celebrities using the American ''ET'' format, hosted by Monique Evans and Paulo Bonfá. In 2001, the show started to be presented by Nelson Rubens and Janaína Barbosa. In 2002, Janaína was replaced by Luísa Mell, who co-presented the show with Nelson until 2006. Alfred Michael Masini (January 5, 1930 – November 29, 2010) was an American television producer. Life and career Early life and education Al Masini was born in Jersey City, New Jersey. Raised by his widowed mother, Masini started working after school at age 10 in a Tootsie Roll factory to help support the family after his father died. Masini graduated from Xavier High School in 1948 and from Fordham University in 1952, where he was a three-sport star. PAL-M is the analogue TV system used in Brazil since 19 February 1972. At that time, Brazil was the first South American country to broadcast in colour. Colour TV broadcast began on 19 February 1972, when the TV networks Globo and Bandeirantes transmitted the Caxias do Sul Grape Festival. 1080i (also known as Full HD or BT.709) is a combination of frame resolution and scan type. 1080i is used in high-definition television (HDTV) and high-definition video. The number "1080" refers to the number of horizontal lines on the screen. The "i" is an abbreviation for "interlaced"; this indicates that only the even lines, then the odd lines of each frame (each image called a video field) are drawn alternately, so that only half the number of actual image frames are used to produce video.
