Thoracic Vertebrae
In vertebrates, thoracic vertebrae compose the middle segment of the vertebral column, between the cervical vertebrae and the lumbar vertebrae. In humans, there are twelve thoracic vertebra (anatomy), vertebrae and they are intermediate in size between the cervical and lumbar vertebrae; they increase in size going towards the lumbar vertebrae, with the lower ones being much larger than the upper. They are distinguished by the presence of Zygapophysial joint, facets on the sides of the bodies for Articulation (anatomy), articulation with the head of rib, heads of the ribs, as well as facets on the transverse processes of all, except the eleventh and twelfth, for articulation with the tubercle (rib), tubercles of the ribs. The Ford T platform is a series of Ford Motor Company's body-on-frame automobile platform. T1 The T1 platform debuted in 2006 with the 2007 model year Ford Expedition, and shares elements with the 2004–2008 Ford F-150's chassis. Tanzam Highway
The Tanzam Highway leads from Lusaka in Zambia to Dar es Salaam in Tanzania. The highway was built from 1968 to 1973 in several stages and was intended to provide seaport access for Zambia and to expand the transport options for Zambia, Malawi and the then Zaire (now Democratic Republic of the Congo). Nakano Station (Tokyo)
is a railway station on the Chūō Main Line in Nakano, Tokyo in Japan, operated jointly by East Japan Railway Company (JR East) and the Tokyo subway operator Tokyo Metro. Lines Nakano Station is served by the JR East Chuo Line (Rapid) and Chuo-Sobu Line, and the Tokyo Metro Tozai Line. There are no turnstiles between lines, allowing for easy transfers. T1 (Istanbul Tram)
The T1, officially referred to as the T1 Kabataş–Bağcılar tram line ( tr, T1 Kabataş–Bağcılar tramvay hattı) is a tram line of the Istanbul Tram, operated by Metro Istanbul. It runs from Kabataş to Bağcılar via Eminönü, with a total length of . History The first section of the T1 opened between Aksaray and Beyazıt on 13 June 1992 and was later extended first to Topkapı and Zeytinburnu, and later to Eminönü. On 29 June 2006, the Eminönü–Kabataş extension was opened, making the transfer to Kabataş–Taksim funicular possible. Tatra T1
The T1 was the first tramcar based on the American ''Presidents' Conference Committee'' concept, produced by Czechoslovakian company ČKD Tatra. 287 multiple T1 units were built between 1952 and 1958. Most of them were used in Czechoslovakia, but 22 were shipped abroad: 2 to Warsaw and the remaining 20 to Rostov-on-Don. The first prototype of T1, T1 TW 5001, which today is considered the forefather of all Tatra trams, premiered in the streets of Prague on 22 January 1951. It is now on exhibition in the Prague Museum Depot (''Muzeum Vozovna Střešovice'') in Střešovice. The cars remained in use into the 1960s, when they were converted into T3-type vehicles. The last T1 was retired on 4 April 1987, in Plzeň. Reading T-1
The Reading T-1 was a class of 4-8-4 "Northern" type steam locomotives owned by the Reading Company. They were rebuilt from 30 "I-10sa" class 2-8-0 " Consolidation" type locomotives between 1945 and 1947. Out of the 30 rebuilt, 4 survive in preservation today, those being numbers 2100, 2101, 2102 and 2124. Design By the turn of the 20th century, the Philadelphia and Reading Company had approximately 800 I class 2-8-0 "Consolidation" types constructed by the Baldwin Locomotive Works in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, as well as the Reading's own locomotive shops in Reading, since it was introduced for them in 1880. The Vaulcain compound "culm" burners built in the early 1890s were followed by the anthracite coal burners, which the company decided to use anthracite as their steamer's primary fuel source, thus they would be built with wider fireboxes. Pennsylvania Railroad Class T1
The Pennsylvania Railroad (PRR) class T1 duplex-drive 4-4-4-4 steam locomotives, introduced in 1942 with two prototypes and later in 1945-1946 with 50 production examples, were the last steam locomotives built for the PRR and arguably its most controversial. They were ambitious, technologically sophisticated, powerful, fast and distinctively streamlined by Raymond Loewy. However, they were also prone to wheelslip both when starting and at speed, in addition to being complicated to maintain and expensive to run. The PRR decided in 1948 to place diesel locomotives on all express passenger trains, leaving unanswered questions as to whether the T1's flaws were solvable, especially taking into account that the two prototypes did not have the problems inherent to the production units. LSWR T1 Class
The London and South Western Railway T1 class was a class of fifty 0-4-4T steam tank locomotives designed for suburban passenger work by William Adams and built between 1888 and 1896. History The class were numbered 1–20, 61–80 and 358–367. In typical London and South Western Railway fashion, they reused the numbers of retired or duplicated engines. The class remained largely intact until the 1930s, being scheduled to be withdrawn by 1940, however due to the Second World War a few remained in traffic (around eight examples) until the early British Railways years, the final one (30007) being withdrawn in May 1951. Île-de-France Tramway Line 1
Île-de-France tramway Line 1 (usually called simply T1) is part of the modern tram network of the Île-de-France region of France. Line T1 connects Noisy-le-Sec station and Asnières-sur-Seine with a suburban alignment running in parallel to the Northern city limits of Paris. The line has a length of and 36 stations. It opened in 1992 as the first modern tram line in the Paris region. The line was extended in December 2003 and November 2012. Line T1 is operated by the Régie autonome des transports parisiens (RATP) under the authority of Île-de-France Mobilités.
