Tōbetsu, Hokkaido
is a town located in Ishikari, Hokkaido, Japan. As of September 2016, the town has an estimated population of 16,694, and a density of 39 persons per km2. The total area is 422.71 km2. Geography Located in the north part of Ishikari Subprefecture of Hokkaido, the shape of the municipality is elongated from north to south. It overlaps with the catchment area of the Tōbetsu river approximately. Tōbetsu means "river from marsh" in Ainu language, and in Japanese, it is called "Tōbetsu Gawa (river)". Low mountains occupy the northern area of the municipality. The southern area is a part of the Ishikari Plains. Sapporo, the largest city of Hokkaido, lies southwest of Tōbetsu. The large river of Ishikari divided Tōbetsu from Sapporo until 1934 when the Sasshō Line railroad connected the two cities. Leksand
Leksand () is a locality and the seat of Leksand Municipality in Dalarna County, Sweden, with 5,934 inhabitants in 2010. Sport Leksand is famous for the Leksands IF ice hockey team, who have won 4 Swedish Championships, although the team is currently facing problems in performance when playing and they have received less funds. Leksand is also home to the Leksands Baseball and Softball Club, the oldest and one of the more successful baseball clubs in Sweden, having won 20 national championships in baseball and 7 in softball. Tatsunori Arai
is a former Japanese football player. Playing career Arai was born in Tobetsu, Hokkaido on December 22, 1983. He joined the J1 League club Consadole Sapporo from his youth team in 2002. He debuted in April and played several matches as forward in 2002. However Consadole finished in last place in the 2002 season and was relegated to the J2 League. He played many matches as substitute forward in 2003. However he was arrested, along with teammate Koji Nakao, for driving under the influence and was dismissed with Nakao in August. In October 2004, he joined the Regional Leagues club Shizuoka FC. In 2005, he moved to the J2 club Sagan Tosu. He became a regular forward and became a top scorer in 2005 and 2006. In 2007, he moved to the J1 club JEF United Chiba. He played often over three seasons. However did not score many goals and JEF United was relegated to the J2 league at the end of the 2009 season. Hokkaidō-Iryōdaigaku Station
is a railway station on the Sasshō Line in Tōbetsu, Hokkaidō, Japan, operated by the Hokkaido Railway Company (JR Hokkaido). The station is numbered G14 and serves the Tōbetsu Campus of the Health Sciences University of Hokkaido (HSUH). Since the closure of the railway between Shin-Totsukawa and this station on May 7, 2020, it has been the northern terminus of the line. Ishikari-Futomi Station
is a railway station on the Sasshō Line in Tōbetsu, Hokkaidō, Japan, operated by the Hokkaido Railway Company (JR Hokkaido). The station is numbered G12. Its name is derived from where it is located -- and , and since there had been a station with the same name enunciatively, it is added with , a short-lived province located in Hokkaidō. In addition, the area's names ''Tōbetsubuto'' and ''Bitoe'' are respectively from Ainu ''to-pet-put'', meaning "estuary rises in a lake", and ''pon-pit-o-i'', meaning "a place with a lot of gravel". The is a railway line in Japan operated by Hokkaido Railway Company (JR Hokkaido), which connects in Sapporo and in Tōbetu, Ishikari District. Its name is made up of two characters from and , the latter of which was the terminus of the line until it was relocated to Shin-Totsukawa in 1972.
