Ty Bodden
Ty Bodden (born December 15, 1993) is an American Republican politician. He is a member of the Wisconsin State Assembly, representing Wisconsin's 59th Assembly district since January 2023. He is the former chairman of the Republican Party of Calumet County, Wisconsin, and previously served on the Stockbridge, Wisconsin, village board. Biography He graduated from Stockbridge High School, in Stockbridge, Wisconsin, in 2012 and went on to University of Wisconsin–Green Bay, where he earned his bachelor's degree in political science and public administration in 2016. He then completed his master's in public administration from Arkansas State University. During college, he worked as a ranch hand at Cristo Rey Ranch, which provides animal therapy for children and the elderly with intellectual disabilities. Jacob Bodden
Jacob Bodden (September 21, 1831 – February 21, 1889) was a German American immigrant, farmer, and politician. He represented eastern Dodge County for three terms as a member of the Wisconsin State Assembly. Biography Bodden was born in Lich, which was, at the time, a part of the Rhine Province of the Kingdom of Prussia (modern day Germany). In 1851, Bodden immigrated to Wisconsin and worked as a farmer. On January 24, 1856, Bodden married Agnes Schafer. On September 3, 1858, Schafer died after giving birth to their only child. In 1860, Bodden married Gertrude Schaefer at the Catholic church in Theresa, Wisconsin. They had 13 children. He died on February 21, 1889, in Theresa. Career Bodden served in the Wisconsin State Assembly during the 1861, 1866, and 1874 sessions and was a Democrat. He also served as treasurer and sheriff of Dodge County, Wisconsin. The 59th Assembly District of Wisconsin is one of 99 districts in the Wisconsin State Assembly. Located in eastern Wisconsin, the district covers parts of western Washington County, eastern Fond du Lac County, western Sheboygan County, and southern and central Calumet County. Kewaskum, Wisconsin
Kewaskum is a village in Washington and Fond du Lac counties in Wisconsin, United States. The population was 4,004 at the 2010 census. All of this population resided in the Washington County portion of the village. The village is mostly surrounded by the Town of Kewaskum. Toponymy Kewaskum was the leader of a group of Potawatomi Native Americans who lived in Washington County in the 1840s. He was friendly with the early settlers, including future Wisconsin state senator Densmore Maxon. He died sometime between 1847 and 1850. In 1849, the early settlers named the Town of Kewaskum (and later the village) in his honor. In the Potawatomi language, Kewaskum means "turning back on his tracks" or "retracing his steps." Wisconsin Elections Commission
The Wisconsin Elections Commission is a bipartisan regulatory agency of the State of Wisconsin established to administer and enforce election laws in the state. The Wisconsin Elections Commission was established by a 2015 act of the Wisconsin Legislature which also established the Wisconsin Ethics Commission to administer campaign finance, ethics, and lobbying laws. The two commissions began operation on June 30, 2016, replacing the Wisconsin Government Accountability Board (GAB), which was abolished.
