Twelfth Tripura Assembly
The 12th Tripura Assembly (Twelfth Vidhan Sabha of Tripura) were formed by the members elected in the 2018 Tripura Legislative Assembly election. Elections were held in 59 constituencies of the state on 18 February 2018. Votes were counted on 3 March 2018. Tripura
Tripura (, Bengali: ) is a state in Northeast India. The third-smallest state in the country, it covers ; and the seventh-least populous state with a population of 36.71 lakh ( 3.67 million). It is bordered by Assam and Mizoram to the east and by Bangladesh to the north, south and west. Tripura is divided into 8 districts and 23 sub-divisions, where Agartala is the capital and the largest city in the state. United Progressive Alliance
United Progressive Alliance (UPA) is a centre-left political alliance of predominantly left-leaning political parties in India. It was formed after the 2004 general election with support from left-leaning political parties when no single party got the majority. UPA ruled India from 2004 till 2014. Sudip Roy Barman
Sudip Roy Barman is an Indian politician from Tripura. He served as the MLA of the Tripura Legislative Assembly from the Agartala constituency which he held since 1998 by winning four elections consecutively on INC ticket by handsome margins. In 2018, he contested from Agartala constituency and won on BJP ticket. On 7 February 2022, he quit BJP and resigned from his MLA post. On 8 February he joined the Indian National Congress in Delhi. Again on 23 June 2022, he contested from Agartala constituency and won on INC ticket defeating his nearest rival of BJP by more than 3500 votes. Brishaketu Debbarma is a politician from Tripura, India. He was a member of 12th Tripura Legislative Assembly.
