Tripura () is a States and union territories of India, state in northeastern India. Tripura Legislative Assembly
The Tripura Legislative Assembly or Tripura Vidhan Sabha is the unicameral legislature of the Indian state of Tripura, with 60 Member of the Legislative Assembly (India), Members of the Legislative Assembly. Ujjayanta Palace
Ujjayanta Palace or Nuyungma is the state museum of the Indian state of Tripura and former royal palace of the princely state of Tripura. It was built by Maharaja Radha Kishore Manikya in 1901. It housed the State Legislative Assembly between 1973 and 2011. The palace primarily showcases the lifestyle, arts, culture, tradition and crafts of communities residing in northeast India, along with many stone sculptures of the Manikya dynasty. Kokborok Language
Kokborok (or Tripuri) is a Tibeto-Burman language of the Indian state of Tripura and neighbouring areas of Bangladesh. Its name comes from ''kók'' meaning "verbal" or "language" and ''borok'' meaning "people" or "human", It is one of the ancient languages of Northeast India. History Kokborok was formerly known as Tripuri and Tipra kok, with its name being changed in the 20th century. The names also refer to the inhabitants of the former Twipra kingdom, as well as the ethnicity of its speakers. Tripura Sundari Temple
Tripura Sundari Temple is a Hindu temple of the Goddess Tripura Sundari, better known locally as ''Devi Tripureshwari'' the third mahavidya and main form of Parvati. The temple is situated in the ancient city of Udaipur, Tripura, Udaipur, about 55 km from Agartala, Tripura and can be reached by train and road from Agartala. It is believed to be one of the holiest Hindu shrines in this part of the country and witnesses the highest number of visitors for a temple in North-East India, after Kamakhya Temple in Assam. The state of Tripura is named after this temple. Popularly known as Matabari, the shrine is set upon a small hillock that resembles the hump of a tortoise (''Kurma''). Manik Saha
Manik Saha (born 8 January 1953) is an Indian politician serving as the 11th and current Chief Minister of Tripura since 2022. He represents the Town Bordowali Assembly constituency in the Tripura Legislative Assembly since 2022. Tripura (princely State)
Tripura State, also known as Hill Tipperah, was a princely state in India during the period of the British Raj and for some two years after the departure of the British. Its rulers belonged to the Manikya dynasty and until August 1947 the state was in a subsidiary alliance, from which it was released by the Indian Independence Act 1947. The state Instrument of Accession, acceded to the newly independent Dominion of India, Indian Union on 13 August 1947, and subsequently Tripura Merger Agreement, merged into the Indian Union in October 1949. Unakoti
Unakoti or Subrai Khung is a sculptural emblem and ancient Shaivite place that hosts rock carvings, figures and images of gods and goddesses. The bas relief sculptures at Unakoti are on stylistic grounds ascribed to 7th to 9th century CE, to the period of Pre- Manikya rule. The rock art was patronised by Deva Dynasty of Sri Bhumi in Samatata. The only inscription at Unakoti is on the other Chaturmukhalinga image, consisting of a couple of records in Bengali Characters of the 11th to 12th century CE, which mentions one SriJayadeva, probably a pilgrim. Unakoti literally means "one less than one crore" or "koti" in Hindi and Bengali. In the local Kokborok language, it is called ''Subrai Khung''. Neermahal Palace
Neermahal also known as Twijilikma Nuyung () is a former royal palace of Tripura Kingdom, built by Maharaja Bir Bikram Kishore Manikya bahadur in 1930. It is also the largest water palace in India. The palace is situated in the middle of Rudrasagar Lake ( Twijilikma ), in Melaghar 53 kilometers away from Agartala, the capital of Tripura.
