Tvååker is the second largest locality situated in Varberg Municipality, Halland County, Sweden, with 2,534 inhabitants in 2010. It is located about 15 km south-east of Varberg. Name The actual name ''Tvååker'' could be translated as ''twofield'' (or ''twoacre''). But it is instead a corruption of the name ''Toaker'' (1198). The word ''to'' has been interpreted as '' flax'', i.e. ''"flax field"''.Svenskt ortnamnslexikon 2003. Svante Grände
Svante Grände (26 March 1947 – 14 October 1975) was a Swedish aid worker and guerrilla fighter in Latin America during the 1970s. He was one of two known Swedish citizens to be killed in the Dirty War in Argentina, the other being Dagmar Hagelin. Biography Grände was born in Tvååker, Sweden and was the fifth out of seven children of vicar Gustaf Grände and Anna-Carin Crona. He became an aid worker (part of UBV) in Chile in 1971 and after the 1973 coup d'état he joined the Revolutionary Left Movement (MIR), an armed resistance movement that fought dictator Augusto Pinochet. There he was given the title ''el Comandante Julio''. After months on the run in the mountains of southern Chile he and other surviving guerrilla members were able to escape to Argentina. There Grände joined the People's Revolutionary Army (ERP) and became lieutenant in the beginning of 1975. Halland
Halland () is one of the traditional provinces of Sweden (''landskap''), on the western coast of Götaland, southern Sweden. It borders Västergötland, Småland, Scania and the sea of Kattegat. Varberg
Varberg () is a locality and the seat of Varberg Municipality, Halland County, Sweden, with 35,782 inhabitants in 2019. Varberg and all of Halland are well known for their "typical west coast" sandy beaches. In Varberg the coast changes from wide sandy beaches to rocky terrain that continues north into the Bohuslän archipelago and as far as the North Cape. Floorball
Floorball is a type of floor hockey with five players and a goalkeeper in each team. Men and women play indoors with sticks and a plastic ball with holes. Matches are played in three twenty-minute periods. The sport of bandy also played a role in the game's development. The game was invented in Sweden in the late 1960s. The basic rules were established in 1979 when the first floorball club in the world, Sala IBK, from Sala, was founded in Sweden. Official rules for matches were first written down in 1981.
