Tuusulan Palloseura
Tuusulan Palloseura (abbreviated TuPS) is a sports club from Tuusula in Finland. The club was formed in 1971 and their home ground is at the Tuusulan urheilukeskus. The men's football first team currently plays in the Kolmonen (Third Division) while the ladies team plays in Section A of the Kakkonen. The Chairman of TuPS is Jari Klemetti. In addition to football the club has been active in ice-hockey and ringette. Background Tuusulan Palloseura was founded on 29 November 1971 as a football club serving the South Tuusula area. The club has expanded from 30 members to more than 700 members. In 2002 the club was awarded the quality seal in recognition of its high-quality youth activities. TuPS has spent many seasons in the lower divisions of the Finnish football league. The club now acts as one of the three feeder clubs to the Pallokerho Keski-Uusimaa club, that now serves as the joint representative team for Central Uusimaa. Tuusula (; sv, Tusby ) is a municipality of Finland. It belongs to the Helsinki sub-region of the Uusimaa region. The municipality has a population of () and is by far the third largest municipality in Finland after Nurmijärvi and Kirkkonummi that doesn't use the town or city title by itself. Kolmonen
Kolmonen or III divisioona is the fourth level in the league system of Finnish football and comprises 104 Finnish football teams. The III divisioona was introduced in 1973 and in the mid-1990s became known as the Kolmonen (''Number Three'' in English and ''Trean'' in Swedish). The competition There are 104 clubs in the Kolmonen, divided in 9 groups of 10 to 12 teams each representing a geographical area. During the course of a season (starting in April and ending in October) each club plays the others twice, once at their home ground and once at that of their opponents. Ringette
Ringette is a contact sport, non-contact winter team sport played on ice hockey rinks using Ice skates#Ice hockey skates, ice hockey skates, straight sticks with drag-tips, and a #Equipment, blue, rubber, pneumatic ring designed for use on ice surfaces. The sport is among a small number of organized team sports created exclusively for female competitors. Though ice hockey rinks are used, #Ringette rink, ringette rinks use markings specific to ringette and the sport uses strategic play which more closely resembles basketball than ice hockey. Finnish Football League System
The Finnish football league system is a series of interconnected leagues for club football in Finland. The three highest levels are managed by the Finnish FA while the other leagues are managed by the regional departments of the FA. Pallokerho Keski-Uusimaa (abbreviated PK Keski-Uusimaa) is a football club serving the sub-region of Keski-Uusimaa in Finland and is centred on the towns of Järvenpää, Kerava and Tuusula. The club was formed in 2005 and the men's first team currently plays in the Kakkonen (Second Division). The Chairman of PK Keski-Uusimaa is Mikko Bergman. Background The club was founded on 30 November 2005 as a flagship club for the Keski-Uusimaa area with Järvenpään Palloseura, Keravan Pallo-75 and Tuusulan Palloseura as the feeder clubs. Kakkonen
Kakkonen or II divisioona is the third level in the league system of Finnish football and comprises 36 Finnish football teams. The II divisioona was introduced in 1973 and in the mid-1990s became known as the Kakkonen (Finnish for 'Number Two'; sv, Tvåan). Sakari Tukiainen finished the season 2014 as the top goal scorer and setting a new league record with 40 goals for the Kakkonen. Petter Meyer finished the 2015 as the top goal scorer for GrIFK with 23 goals. The IV divisioona was introduced in 1973 and in the mid-1990s became known as the Nelonen (''Number Four'' in English and ''Fyran'' in Swedish).
