Tuuli Rand
Tuuli Rand (born 1 March 1990 in Kuressaare, Saaremaa) is an Estonian singer. Early life and education She is a graduate of Kuressaare Gymnasium and Georg Ots Music Singing School. Career She is the lead singer in bands TuuliKustiPeep, Funkifize, Bliss, Estonian Dream Dixieland Band, and the vocal ensemble Söörömöö. During the Estonian singing show ''Eesti otsib superstaari'' she came to the studio rounds, but stopped there on her way and she did not make the finals. As semi-finalist of Eesti Laul 2013 competition, she was co-managing two projects. With Liisi Koikson and band Söörömöö (of it she is a member), she sang the song "''Üle vee''" (Over the Water) and as a solo artist sang the song "Ring the Alarm", with Teele Viira. The songs finished 5th and 10th respectively in the final. She returned the following year with VÖÖRAD singing the song "Maailm on hull" but was eliminated in the semi-final. Kuressaare
Kuressaare () is a town on Saaremaa island in Estonia. It is the administrative centre of Saaremaa Parish and the capital of Saare County. Kuressaare is the westernmost town in Estonia. The recorded population on 1 January 2018 was 13,276. The town is situated on the southern coast of Saaremaa island, facing the Gulf of Riga of the Baltic Sea, and is served by the Kuressaare Airport, Roomassaare harbour, and Kuressaare yacht harbour. Saare County ( et, Saare maakond or ''Saaremaa''; la, Oesel; german: Ösel; sv, Ösel) is one of 15 counties of Estonia. It consists of Saaremaa, the largest island of Estonia, and several smaller islands near it, most notably Muhu, Ruhnu, Abruka and Vilsandi. Georg Ots
Georg Ots (21 March 1920 – 5 September 1975) was an Estonian singer, actor and People's Artist of the USSR (1960). Biography Before studying singing with the Estonian baritone Aleksander Rahnel in Yaroslavl in the rear of the Eastern Front, where a cultural center for evacuated Estonians had been established, Ots was a young Navy Officer who had escaped a sinking ship and was taken prisoner in Russia. He was released a year later, and on his return home, he auditioned for a place at the conservatory in Tallinn. At the same time, he became a member of the chorus at the Estonia Theatre in Tallinn. His solo opera debut was a small part in ''Eugene Onegin'' (1944). He soon became one of the most revered singers in Estonia and Finland and was also admired and beloved across Russia. Eesti Laul (English: 'Estonian Song' or 'The Song of Estonia') is an annual music competition organised by Estonian public broadcaster Eesti Rahvusringhääling (ERR). It determines the country's representative for the Eurovision Song Contest, and has been staged every year since 2009. The contest was introduced in 2009, replacing the former Eurolaul festival, used since Estonia's first participation in Eurovision in 1993. Estonia In The Eurovision Song Contest 2021
Estonia participated in the Eurovision Song Contest 2021 with the song " The Lucky One" written by Uku Suviste and Sharon Vaughn. The song was performed by Uku Suviste. The Estonian broadcaster (ERR) organised the national final in order to select the Estonian entry for the 2021 contest in Rotterdam, Netherlands. The national final consisted of three shows: two semi-finals and a final. Twelve songs competed in each semi-final and six from each semi-final as determined by a jury panel and public vote qualified to the final. In the final, the winner was selected over two rounds of voting. In the first round, a jury panel and a public vote selected the top three to qualify to the superfinal.
