Tsukisamu Dome (月寒ドーム) was an indoor arena located in Toyohira-ku, Sapporo, Hokkaido, Japan. The full capacity of the arena was 5,831. The Tsukisamu Dome was closed in 2016 and demolished in 2018, because of the increasing cost of maintenance of this aging facility. ( ain, サッ・ポロ・ペッ, Satporopet, lit=Dry, Great River) is a city in Japan. It is the largest city north of Tokyo and the largest city on Hokkaido, the northernmost main island of the country. Toyohira-ku, Sapporo
is one of the 10 wards in Sapporo, Hokkaido, Japan. The ward was established in 1972, when the Sapporo Olympics was held in Sapporo. Four other wards in Sapporo are bounded on Toyohira-ku. As of April 1, 2012, the ward has an estimated population of 214,437, with 109,510 households and a population density of 4,626.47 persons per km2. The total area is 46.35 km2. Overview The name "Toyohira" is derived from the Ainu language and means "crumbled cliff". The symbol flower of the ward is the Petunia. Levanga Hokkaido is a Japanese professional basketball team based in the city of Sapporo on the island of Hokkaido. The club was founded in 2006 as ''Rera Kamuy Hokkaido'', this name comes from the language of the Ainu, an ethnic group indigenous to Hokkaido, and means "god of the winds". The franchise changed its name twice in 2011; the first when the club's parent company was kicked out of the league due to financial woes in the season.
