Tsou Ma Lai Farm
The Tsou Ma Lai Farm () is a recreational farm in Danei District, Tainan, Taiwan. History The area of the farm used to be the home for the Siraya people. Geology The farm is surrounded by the Zengwun River within the Alishan Range and spreads over an area of 120 hectares. It is divided into three main areas, which are the main recreational area, orchard recreational area and the pasture recreational area. The farm consists of more than 150 species of animal. Danei District
Danei District () is a rural district of about 8,948 residents in Tainan, Taiwan. History Formerly home to the Tevorangh Taiwanese Plains Aborigines, a branch of the Siraya people (Baccloangh subtribe). In 1920, the area was designated , , Tainan Prefecture. After the handover of Taiwan from Japan to the Republic of China in 1945, Danei was organized as a rural township of Tainan County. On 25 December 2010, Tainan County merged with Tainan City and Danei was upgraded to a district of the city. Siraya People
The Siraya () people are a Taiwanese indigenous people. The Siraya settled flat coastal plains in the southwest part of the island of Taiwan and corresponding sections of the east coast; the area is identified today with Tainan City and Taitung County. At least four communities make up the group: Mattauw, Soelangh, Baccloangh, and Sinckan. The first four communities correspond to the modern-day districts of Madou, Jiali, Shanhua, and Sinshih, respectively. The Siraya are Plains indigenous peoples (''Pingpu'') — that is, occupants of flat coastal regions rather than mountain areas. Alishan Range
The Alishan Range () is a mountain range in the central-southern region of Taiwan. It is separated by the Qishan River from the Yushan Range, the tallest range in Taiwan, to the east of the Alishan Range.
