Qualifying * 3 spots to be awarded at the ITU Regional Championship in Rio de Janeiro, September 15, 2002 * 3 spots to be awarded at the Central American and Caribbean Games, El Salvador, November 28, 2002 * 3 spots to be awarded at the ITU points race in La Paz, Argentina, 2003 * 20 spots to be awarded through the Patco rankings (which is extracted from the ITU rankings, with events in the Americas only). Paul ("Tish") Tichelaar (born November 13, 1982, in Edmonton, Alberta) was a member of the 2006 Canadian National Triathlon team for Olympic distance triathlon. He has competed in events such as the 2006 Commonwealth Games, the 2005 and 2006 World Triathlon Championships and many ITU World Cup races. In 2006 he won the U-23 national Championship race in Kelowna, British Columbia, and the Pan American Cup race in Caledon, Ontario. Victor Andres Plata (born April 1, 1973) is a triathlete from the United States. He is a native of Minneapolis, Minnesota and his hometown is Santa Cruz, California.
