Trento-Bondone Hill Climb
The Trento-Bondone Hill Climb is a hillclimbing competition starting in Trento and finishing on the Monte Bondone, organised by the Scuderia Trentina of the Automobile Club d'Italia. The first competition event was held on 5 July 1925. The course is in length. It was described as "an absurdly dramatic climb" that begins in the Adige valley at 275 metres elevation and climbs to 1650 metres in the Alps, for an average gradient of 7.9%. The track is part of the European Hill Climb Championship. Hillclimbing, also known as hill climbing, speed hillclimbing, or speed hill climbing, is a branch of motorsport in which drivers compete against the clock to complete an uphill course. It is one of the oldest forms of motorsport, since the first known hillclimb at La Turbie near Nice, France, took place as long ago as 31 January 1897. The hillclimb held at Shelsley Walsh, in Worcestershire, England is the world's oldest continuously staged motorsport event still staged on its original course, having been first run in 1905. Monte Bondone
Monte Bondone is a mountain of Trentino, northern Italy, located west of the provincial capital of Trento. It has an elevation of and includes a ski resort on one side. It is the highest mountain of the Garda Mountains, Garda Prealps and with a prominence of qualifies as an Ultra prominent peak, Ultra. Automobile Club D'Italia
The Automobile Club d'Italia (usually known by its acronym ACI) is a not-for-profit statutory corporation of the Italian Republic. The club originated through the efforts of Count Carlo Biscaretti di Ruffia as the "Automobile Club of Turin" founded in Turin on 6 December 1898.
