Trench Road
''Trench Road'' ( fi, Juoksuhaudantie) is a 2004 Finnish drama film directed by Veikko Aaltonen. Based on the Nordic Council's Literature Prize-winning novel ''Juoksuhaudantie'' by Kari Hotakainen, the film is about a man who tries to get his wife and daughter back by buying a house. Kari Väänänen won the Jussi Award for Best Supporting Actor for his role as the real estate agent Jarmo Kesämaa. Eero Aho and Tiina Lymi were nominated for Jussi Awards for Best Actor and Best Actress. Veikko Aaltonen
Veikko Aaltonen (born 1 December 1955 in Sääksmäki, Finland) is a Finnish director, editor, sound editor, production manager and film and television writer and actor. Aaltonen began his career in the mid-1970s working as a sound editor on various films. Early in his career, he worked with Rauni Mollberg as co-writer on two of his films, ''Milka'' (1980) and '' The Unknown Soldier'' (1985). In 1987, Aaltonen directed his first feature film, ''Tilinteko'', which he co-wrote with Aki Kaurismäki, who also produced the film. Five years later, he directed a film that has been considered his primary breakthrough, ''The Prodigal Son'' (1992). Aaltonene was the first Finnish director to work on topics like pedophilia, Sadomasochism and sexual subjugation without credibility and morality. Eila Roine
Eila Orvokki Roine (born 26 November 1931 in Turku) is a Finnish actress. She worked for Tampereen Työväen Teatteri from 1951 until her retirement in 1994. On television Eila Roine is best known for her role as Kaija in a television series ''Heikki ja Kaija'' (1961–1971) in which she played opposite her husband, Vili Auvinen (1931–1996). She has also appeared in ''Rintamäkeläiset'' (1974) and in a teen series ''Pertsa ja Kilu'' (1975–1976), directed by Auvinen. Katariina Kaitue (born 21 January 1967 in Helsinki) is a Finnish actress. She has been a regular actress since 1991 at the Finnish National Theatre, where she has performed dozens of roles.
