Eila Roine
Eila Orvokki Roine (born 26 November 1931 in Turku) is a Finnish actress. She worked for Tampereen Työväen Teatteri from 1951 until her retirement in 1994. On television Eila Roine is best known for her role as Kaija in a television series ''Heikki ja Kaija'' (1961–1971) in which she played opposite her husband, Vili Auvinen (1931–1996). She has also appeared in ''Rintamäkeläiset'' (1974) and in a teen series ''Pertsa ja Kilu'' (1975–1976), directed by Auvinen. For younger generations, she is known as "Eila-mummi" (Grandma Eila) in a children's program ''Pikku Kakkonen''. In 2004, she was named the "Grandparent of the Year" by the Finnish Union for Senior Services. Although mostly known for her television and theatrical work, Roine has also appeared in several films during her career. Personal life Eila Roine was married to Vili Auvinen until his death in 1996. Vili Auvinen
Vilho Emil "Vili" Auvinen (11 November 1931 – 2 August 1996) was a Finnish actor and theatre director. Theatrical background Auvinen's parents Vilho Auvinen and Hellin Auvinen-Salmi were also actors, so he became familiar with the world of theatre at a young age. His career started as a set designer and in small supporting roles. Auvinen turned to directing in the 1950s after getting hired by Tampereen Työväen Teatteri. In television and films Vili Auvinen is best known for his role as Heikki in a television series ''Heikki ja Kaija'' (1961–1971) in which he played opposite his wife, Eila Roine. He also served as the director of the teen series ''Pertsa ja Kilu'' (1975–1976), based on the novels by Väinö Riikkilä. In films, Auvinen only made a handful of appearances in the 1960s and 1970s. Pikku Kakkonen
''Pikku Kakkonen'' (Finnish for "the little number two") is an ongoing Finnish magazine-type children's TV show shown on Yle TV2. The first episode aired on January 11, 1977. It finished with a bedtime story read by the late Lasse Pöysti (1927-2019) and an East German Sandman animation, setting the format for hundreds of later episodes. Currently the series airs twice a day (mornings and night) on the weekdays and once a day (mornings only) on the weekends. The ''Pikku Kakkonen'' show is based in Tampere, and its signature melodies (The ''Pikku Kakkonen'' mail tune and the main title tune) have been made into mobile phone ringing tones. ''Kohtalon kirja'' (''The Book of Fate'', though the website also uses ''The Booke of Fate'') is a Finnish film released in 2003. The movie was a DVD release, though it premiered in a theater. The movie is a multi-genre episode movie. It's frequently described as a "Horror/Western/War/Action/Sci-fi" movie, as it covers all of those genres in different episodes. The frequent themes are horror and fantasy, too. The movie was conceived and directed by Tommi Lepola and Tero Molin.
