Trayvon Reed
Trayvon Reed (born June 5, 1995) is an American professional basketball player for Sitra Club of the Bahraini Premier League. Early life and high school career Growing up, Reed moved from Mobile, Alabama to Montgomery, Alabama, and eventually to Snellville, Georgia. In 2013, he joined D'Angelo Russell, Grayson Allen and Joel Berry on an AAU team that won a national title. Reed also attended the NBPA Top 100 camp for two years. He transferred to Life Center Academy in New Jersey for his senior year for a better academic foundation and also to play under coach and former NBA player Pervis Ellison. A four-star recruit, Reed signed with Maryland. College career Reed was not allowed to enroll at Maryland after he was caught shoplifting at a 7-Eleven convenience store in July 2014. Center (basketball)
The center (C), or the centre, also known as the five or the pivot, is one of the five positions in a regulation basketball game. The center is normally the tallest player on the team, and often has a great deal of strength and body mass as well. In the NBA, the center is typically close to tall. They traditionally play close to the basket in the low post. Centers are valued for their ability to protect their own goal from high-percentage close attempts on defense, while scoring and rebounding with high efficiency on offense. In the 1950s and 1960s, George Mikan and Bill Russell were centerpieces of championship dynasties and defined early prototypical centers. The Georgian Basketball Super League ( ka, საკალათბურთო სუპერლიგა, Sakalatburto Superliga), also known as the Georgian Top League, is the highest professional basketball league in Georgia. The first season was played in 1991, and was won by Dinamo Tbilisi. The 1990s were dominated by BC Vita Tbilisi, who won the title a record 7 times. BC Batumi, and then Energy Invest Rustavi, dominated the following decade. Mike Davis (basketball, Born 1960)
Michael Davis (born September 15, 1960) is an American basketball coach. He was most recently the head men's basketball coach at the University of Detroit Mercy, a position he held from 2018 to 2024. Davis also served as the head men's basketball coach at Indiana University Bloomington from 2000 to 2006, the University of Alabama at Birmingham (UAB) from 2006 to 2012, and Texas Southern University from 2012 to 2018. Playing career Davis, an Alabama native, spent his collegiate playing career with the University of Alabama Crimson Tide after earning the state's Mr. Basketball honor in 1979. In his first season, he played for the legendary C. M. Newton and then spent his final three years playing under another coaching legend, Wimp Sanderson. The ''Opelika-Auburn News'' is a daily newspaper in Alabama, serving Opelika, Auburn, and the surrounding communities. History The newspaper began as the weekly ''Opelika Industrial News'', on September 11, 1890. On May 30, 1904, the newspaper began publication as the ''Opelika Daily News''. In 1968, Millard B. Grimes and investors purchased the paper, changing its name to the ''Opelika-Auburn News'' in 1969, and then selling it in 1977.
