Tracey Hannah
Tracey Hannah (born 13 June 1988 in Cairns, Australia) is a Professional Downhill bike rider. She raced her first national BMX title when she was 4 years old. Tracey chose to do MTB when she saw Mick Hannah (her eldest brother of four) was racing down a hill very fast on an MTB camp in 1997. When she was 13 her parents let her try downhill riding. As soon as she was 14, she raced for the national titles in elite, and she came in 2nd place. For 7 years, she was Australian National Champion. After that, she started racing overseas and her results were; First in the NORBA Series overall, A Junior World Championship, Third in a World Cup overall, Third in Elite World Championships, and she has won a World Cup Round. In 2012 her best places were 1st and 2nd out of 7 rounds of the World Cup Series, and she finished 4th Overall. However, she missed out on racing the 6th, and 7th rounds. Cairns
Cairns (, ) is a city in Queensland, Australia, on the tropical north east coast of Far North Queensland. Mountain Bike Australia (MTBA) was the peak body responsible for the governance, promotion and advocacy of mountain biking in Australia. MTBA gained National Sporting Organisation (NSO) status from the Australian Sports Commission (ASC) in November 2017. UCI Mountain Bike World Cup
The UCI Mountain Bike World Cup is a multi-round mountain bike racing series that is sanctioned by the Union Cycliste Internationale. The first World Cup series – which was composed of cross-country events – was held in 1989. The Downhill World Cup was inaugurated two years later, and the Dual Slalom World Cup was launched in 1998. The dual-slalom format – which involved knock-out heats with two riders on the parallel courses in each heat – evolved into four-cross (with four riders on a single course per heat) in 2002 before being dropped after the 2011 season. Riders win points according to their placing in each event. The reigning series leaders in each class are identified by a special jersey. The UCI Mountain Bike World Cup is broadcast live and globally on Red Bull TV. The replacement world series for 4X World Cup is the 4X Pro Tour and for XCM World Cup is UCI MTB Marathon series. The 2017 UCI Mountain Bike World Cup was a series of races in Cross-country cycling, Olympic Cross-Country (XCO), Cross-country eliminator, Cross-Country Eliminator (XCE), and Downhill mountain biking, Downhill (DHI). Each discipline had an Elite Men and an Elite Women category. There were also men's and women's under-23 categories in the XCO and junior men's and women's categories in the DHI. The 2017 UCI Mountain Bike World Championships was the 28th edition of the UCI Mountain Bike World Championships. As in 2016, the championships in the various disciplines were held at separate events. The world championships in four-cross were held at Val di Sole, Italy, on 24 and 25 August 2017, alongside UCI World Cup events in cross-country and downhill. The world championships in cross-country and downhill were held in Cairns, Australia, from 5 to 10 September 2017.
