Toxic Love
''Toxic Love'' ( it, Amore tossico) is a 1983 Italian drama film directed by Claudio Caligari. The film depicts a realistic and graphic portrayal of the heroin addiction that afflicted many young drifters in the eighties. The cast was entirely made of amateur actors, of whom most were or had been drug addicts. The film premiered at the 40th Venice International Film Festival, in which it won the De Sica Award. It was also screened at the San Sebastián International Film Festival, in which Michela Mioni was awarded best actress. Plot Cesare, Enzo and Ciopper are a group of heroin addicts whose main occupation is to find money for their daily fix. Cesare hopes that his girlfriend, Michela, would help them but she has already bought drugs on her own from Teresa, a prostitute in Ostia, and the two have an argument. Cesare, Ciopper and Enzo eventually manage to score from a local pusher, nicknamed Dartagnan. When Michela test Teresa's heroin, and finds out that she's been ripped ...

Claudio Caligari
Claudio Caligari (7 February 1948 – 26 May 2015) was an Italian director and screenwriter. Life and career Born in Arona, Piedmont, Caligari began his career as a documentarist, often collaborating with Franco Barbero; his first work was ''Perché droga'' (1975). He made his feature film debut in 1983, with the drug-centered drama '' Toxic Love'', which won the De Sica Award at the 40th Venice International Film Festival. Only fifteen years later he directed another work, the neo-noir ''The Scent of the Night''. He completed the editing of his third and last film, '' Non essere cattivo'', a few days before his death from a tumour. Patrizia Vicinelli
Patrizia Vicinelli (Bologna, 23 August 1943 – 9 January 1991) was an Italian poet, writer, artist and actress. Vincinelli was born in Bologna, where she grew up. She enrolled at the University of Bologna with the ambition to become a Literare Professor but never completed her studies. In the early 1960s, she started performing sound poetry and concrete poetry. In 1966, she attended a conference held in La Spezia by the avant-garde literary group and was later invited to become a member. She contributed to literary magazines such as ''Alfabeta'', ''Doc(k)s'', ''Marcatré'', ''Ex'' and ''Quindici''. Detto Mariano (27 July 1937 – 25 March 2020) was an Italian composer, arranger, lyricist, pianist, record producer and music publisher.
