Let's Spend The Night Together (film)
''Let's Spend the Night Together'' is a live concert film, documenting the Rolling Stones' 1981 North American Tour. It was directed by Hal Ashby, and released in cinemas in February 11, 1983. It was filmed at the Brendan Byrne Arena in East Rutherford, New Jersey on 5–6 November 1981 and at Sun Devil Stadium in Tempe, Arizona on 13 December 1981. ''Let's Spend the Night Together'' was subsequently released on VHS, Betamax, Laserdisc, VHD and CED Videodisc. It was released in New Zealand and Australia with the alternative title ''Time Is on Our Side'' on VHS and is currently available on DVD in Japan, Australia and New Zealand (as L.S.T.N.T from Studio Canal/Universal). The film was released as ''Rocks Off'' in Germany in 1982 with slightly different footage and an additional song, " When the Whip Comes Down" (following "Under My Thumb"), performed at Sun Devil Stadium. Guy McElwaine
Guy McElwaine (June 29, 1936 – April 2, 2008) was a Hollywood agent, producer, and studio head. McElwaine played Minor League Baseball as a teenager, pitching in the C league in 1955 and leaving the game to join Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer's publicity department. He left MGM in 1959 to join the marketing and public relations agency Rogers & Cowan. In 1964, he set up his own PR firm. He became an agent at Creative Management Associates (CMA) in 1969. While at CMA, he became vice president of worldwide production at Warner Bros. but left after 18 months to rejoin CMA. McElwaine was a founding partner of International Creative Management when CMA merged with International Famous Agency in 1975. He was the first agent of Steven Spielberg. He left ICM to join Columbia Pictures in 1981 and became head of production in October 1983, replacing Frank Price and lasting until April 1986. Frank Price
Frank Price (born May 17, 1930) is an American retired television writer and film studio executive. He held a number of executive positions including head of Universal TV; president, and later chairman and CEO, of Columbia Pictures; and president of Universal Pictures. In the 1960s, he is credited with helping to develop the " made-for-TV movie" and the 90-minute miniseries television format, including '' The Virginian'' (1962–1970). As studio president, Price oversaw the production of and/or greenlit famous films of the 1980s including '' Out of Africa'' which won the Academy Award for Best Picture in 1985, '' Tootsie'' (1982), ''Gandhi'' (1982) and '' The Karate Kid'' (1984).
