The CRO Race (formally: ''Tour of Croatia'') is a men's road cycling stage race that takes place in Croatia since 2015. It is part of the UCI Europe Tour and is rated by the UCI as a 2.1 event, the third tier of professional stage races. The event is organised by Top Sport Events of Vladimir Miholjević, a former professional cyclist. The race was originally held in April in the build-up to the Giro d'Italia, but from 2019 race is held in September and October. 2015 Tour Of Croatia
The 2015 Tour of Croatia was the first edition of the Tour of Croatia cycling stage race. It started on 22 April in Makarska and ended on 26 April in Zagreb, and consisted of five stages. It was part of the 2015 UCI Europe Tour, and was rated as a 2.1 event. The race was won by Maciej Paterski (), who also won two stages, the points classification and the mountains classification. The second-placed rider was Primož Roglič (), while Paterski's teammate Sylwester Szmyd was third. also won the team competition. Race overview Teams 19 teams were invited to take part in the race. The 2017 Tour of Croatia was a road cycling stage race that took place in Croatia between 18 and 23 April 2017. It was the third edition of the Tour of Croatia since its revival in 2015, and was rated as a 2.1 event as part of the UCI Europe Tour. The race was won by 's Vincenzo Nibali. Road bicycle racing is the cycle sport discipline of road cycling, held primarily on Road surface, paved roads. Učka
The Učka ([], it, Monte Maggiore) is a mountain range in western Croatia. It rises behind the Opatija riviera, on the eastern side of the Istrian peninsula. It forms a single morphological unit together with the Ćićarija range which stretches from the Bay of Trieste to Rijeka. Team Time Trial
A team time trial (TTT) is a road bicycle race in which teams of cyclists race against the clock (see individual time trial for a more detailed description of ITT events). The winning team in a TTT is determined by the comparing the times of (usually) the fourth-finishing rider in each team (though the relevant finish position can be otherwise specified in advance by the race organisers). This means that each team will try to get their first four (at least) riders across the finish line in a tight group: it is actually a disadvantage for any rider to finish far in advance of the fourth rider, as by staying back a faster rider can help the fourth rider to get a quicker time. 2016 Tour Of Croatia
The 2016 Tour of Croatia was the 2nd edition of the Tour of Croatia cycling stage race. The race started on 19 April in Osijek and ended on 24 April in Zagreb and consisted of six stages. The race is part of the 2016 UCI Europe Tour, and is rated as a 2.1 event. The race has been won by Synergy Baku Cycling Project's Croatian rider Matija Kvasina, who took the leader's jersey after winning the fourth stage. Giacomo Nizzolo claimed the Points classification, Riccardo Zoidl won the Mountains classification, and Domen Novak finished first in the Young Rider classification Synergy Baku Cycling Project won the Teams classification.
