2016 Tour De San Luis
The 2016 Tour de San Luis was a road cycling stage race that took place in Argentina between 18 and 24 January 2016. It was the tenth edition of the Tour de San Luis. The race was used by many European-based riders as the beginning of their 2016 road seasons. It was rated as a 2.1 event as part of the 2016 UCI America Tour. The defending champion is the Argentine cyclist Daniel Díaz (). The race took place over seven days. The first stage was a team time trial; there were also two stages suitable for sprinters, two suitable for riders who can both climb and sprint, and two mountain-top finishes suitable for the best climbers. The team time trial was won by , putting their rider Maximiliano Richeze into the lead. Another rider, Fernando Gaviria, won the second stage and took over the race lead. The 2015 Tour de San Luis was the 9th edition of the Tour de San Luis stage race. It was part of the 2015 UCI America Tour, and took place in Argentina between 18 and 25 January 2015. The race was won by Daniel Díaz of the squad, which displayed a dominant performance by winning stages 2, 4 and 6, all of the top mountain finish stages. San Luis Province
San Luis () is a province of Argentina located near the geographical center of the country (on the 32° South parallel). The 2013 Tour de San Luis was the 7th edition of the Tour de San Luis stage race. It was part of the 2012–2013 UCI America Tour, and took place between 21 and 27 January 2013. The 2012 Tour de San Luis was the 6th edition of the Tour de San Luis stage race. It was part of the 2011–12 UCI America Tour. Levi Leipheimer of won the race, mainly in the time-trial, which he won and where he made the difference with second placed Alberto Contador, who did win two mountain stages.
