Touchback (film)
''Touchback'' is a 2011 American sports film written and directed by Don Handfield. It stars Brian Presley, Melanie Lynskey, Kurt Russell and Christine Lahti. It premiered on home video in Finland and Sweden on September 28, 2011, and had a limited theatrical run in the United States the following year. The film received mixed reviews from critics. Plot Scott Murphy is a former high school football hero. An injury he received during the Ohio State High School Championship game terminated his scholarship to Ohio State University and his dreams of a professional career in football. It's been twenty years since that game and Scott still resides with his family in the quiet town of Coldwater, Ohio. Don Handfield
Don Handfield is an American filmmaker, author, and producer. Education and acting career Handfield studied theater and film at Ohio State University, graduating with a degree in journalism in 1993. His first job in media after college was as a production assistant at E! Entertainment Television. After moving to Los Angeles, his acting career included the role of Dwight Tanner, (Robert Duvall's son) in the 1998 film '' Deep Impact'', and Pete Bradley in the 1997 film '' Defying Gravity''. His films as an actor also include ''Captain Jack'', ''Cause N' Effect'', and ''A Reason to Believe''. Coopersville is a city located in north central Ottawa County in the U.S. state of Michigan. The population was 4,828 at the 2020 census. It is primarily a farming community. The city is located within Polkton Township, though it is administratively autonomous. It lies just north of Interstate 96 along the eastern township boundary, adjacent to Wright Township on the east.
