Toska
Toska is an island in Alver Municipality in Vestland county, Norway. The island lies just west of the island of Radøy in the Hjeltefjorden, at the entrance to the Radfjorden. A road connection from the village of Manger on Radøy island to the island of Toska was completed in 1989. The island is a popular holiday destination. Toska has about 40 inhabitants, mostly living in the village of Toska, also known as Vestevågen. There are still a few farmers left on the island, but most residents work in other professions, with many commuting to neighboring villages and even to the city of Bergen. Radøy (island)
Radøy is an island in Vestland county, Norway. It is located east of Fedjefjorden in Alver Municipality. The island has an area of . The highest point of the island is the tall ''Morkefjellet''. The island lies in the Nordhordland region of the county. The Hjeltefjorden and Radfjorden flow along the western coast and the Lurefjorden and Radsundet flow along the eastern coast. The island of Fosnøyna lies to the north of Radøy, the island of Toska lies to the west, the island of Holsnøy lies to the south, and the Lindås peninsula lies to the east. The island had a population of 5,280 inhabitants in 2001, with the largest urban areas being the village of Manger on the west-central coast and the village of Bøvågen on the northern coast. Hjeltefjorden
Hjeltefjorden is a fjord in Vestland county, Norway. The long fjord runs north–south between many islands leading from the open ocean to the city of Bergen. It passes through the municipalities of Fedje, Øygarden, Alver, and Askøy. Its name is derived from ''Hjaltland'', the Old Norse name for Shetland. The main shipping routes from Bergen to Shetland ran through Hjeltefjorden. Hjeltefjorden is a major shipping route into the city of Bergen, and it runs from the island of Fedje in the north to Byfjorden in the south. Vestland
Vestland is a county in Norway established on 1 January 2020. The county is located in Western Norway and it is centred around the city of Bergen, Norway's second largest city. The administrative centre of the county is the city of Bergen, where the executive and political leadership is based, but the County Governor is based in Hermansverk. The county is one of two counties in Norway that have Nynorsk as their official written language form (the others are neutral as to which form people use). Radfjorden
Radfjorden is a fjord in Alver Municipality in Vestland county, Norway. The long fjord runs between the islands of Radøy and Holsnøy. The northwestern end of the fjord is called the ''Mangerfjorden'' and it flows out into the Hjeltefjorden. The southeastern end of the fjord is also known as Kvernafjord, and it flows out into the confluence of three other fjords: Salhusfjorden, Osterfjorden, and Sørfjorden. Manger is a village in Alver municipality in Vestland county, Norway. The village lies in the central part of the island of Radøy, along the Radfjorden. The village of Bøvågen lies about to the northwest and the village of Sæbø lies about to the southeast. The village has a population (2019) of 1181 and a population density of .
