Geography Located in southern Cilento, 11 km far from the Cilentan Coast, Tortorella is a hill town located in the middle of a large forest area part of Cilento and Vallo di Diano National Park. The bordering municipalities are Casaletto Spartano, Morigerati, Santa Marina, Sapri, Torraca, Vibonati and Rivello, this one in Basilicata region. Casaletto Spartano is a town and ''comune'' in the province of Salerno in the Campania region of south-western Italy. History The town has medieval origins and originated around the settlement of ''Spartoso'', from which it derives the toponym, changed in ''Spartano'', that literally means "Spartan". Geography Located in southern Cilento, between the Cilentan Coast and the Vallo di Diano, Casaletto Spartano is a hilltown located in the middle of a large forest area part of Cilento and Vallo di Diano National Park. Cilento is an Italian geographical region of Campania in the central and southern part of the Province of Salerno and an important Tourism, tourist area of southern Italy. Torraca is a town and ''comune'' in the province of Salerno in the Campania region of south-western Italy. History The LED city In 2007, the town spent 280,000 euro to convert all its 700 street lamps to LED technology - a first in Europe - and thereby reduced its energy and maintenance costs by 70%. Cilento, Vallo di Diano and Alburni National Park (Italian language, Italian ''Parco Nazionale del Cilento, Vallo di Diano e Alburni'') is an List of National Parks of Italy, Italian national park in the Province of Salerno, in Campania in southern Italy. Morigerati ( Cilentan: ''Murgirati'') is a town and ''comune'' in the province of Salerno in the Campania region of south-western Italy. History The village was probably founded by the ancient Italic people of the Morgetes. It was later colonized by the Ancient Roman, as witnessed by some ruins in a locality named ''Rumanuru''.
