Toronto Film Critics Association Awards 2022
The 26th Toronto Film Critics Association Awards, honouring the best films released in 2022, were announced on January 8, 2023. '' Aftersun'' received the most awards with four wins, including Best Picture. For the first time in three years, the members met in person at Metro Hall for a "live vote" to determine the winners. The ceremony was held at The Omni King Edward Hotel on March 6, 2023, where the winner for the Rogers Best Canadian Film Award was announced. Additional winners for the Stella Artois Jay Scott Prize for Best Emerging Artist, the Company 3 TFCA Luminary Award, and the Telefilm Canada Emerging Critic Award were announced on February 10. Hosted by actress Amanda Brugel, the ceremony featured a cocktail party sponsored by Universal Pictures Canada, a dinner sponsored by Netflix, and an after-party sponsored by Prime Video. The Omni King Edward Hotel
The Omni King Edward Hotel is a historic luxury hotel in Downtown Toronto, Ontario, Canada. The hotel is located at 37 King Street East, and it occupies the entire block bounded by King Street on the north, Victoria Street on the east, Colborne Street on the south and Leader Lane on the west. History The King Edward Hotel was designed by Chicago architect Henry Ives Cobb and Toronto architect E.J. Lennox for developer George Gooderham's Toronto Hotel Company, and was granted its name by namesake King Edward VII. The structure opened in 1903 with 400 rooms and 300 baths, and it claimed to be entirely fireproof. In 1922, an 18-storey tower with 530 additional rooms was added to the east of the original eight-storey structure. On the two top floors of the tower is the Crystal Ballroom, that until the late 1950s was the most fashionable in the city. Ke Huy Quan (born August 20, 1971), also known as Jonathan Ke Quan (), is a Vietnam-born American actor and stunt choreographer.
