Paul Mescal
Paul Mescal (; born 2 February 1996) is an Irish actor. Born in Maynooth, he studied acting at The Lir Academy and subsequently performed in plays in Dublin theatres. Mescal rose to fame with his role in the miniseries ''Normal People'' (2020), earning a BAFTA TV Award as well as a nomination for a Primetime Emmy Award. Mescal made his film debut with a supporting role in the psychological drama ''The Lost Daughter'' (2021), and received praise for starring in the 2022 drama films '' God's Creatures'' and '' Aftersun''. His performance as a troubled father in the lattermost earned him nominations for an Academy Award and BAFTA Film Award. Since 2022, he has performed as Stanley Kowalski in a revival of the play ''A Streetcar Named Desire''. Maynooth (; ga, Maigh Nuad) is a university town in north County Kildare, Ireland. It is home to Maynooth University (part of the National University of Ireland and also known as the National University of Ireland, Maynooth) and St Patrick's College, a Pontifical University and Ireland's sole Roman Catholic seminary. Brian Lacey (Gaelic Footballer)
Brian Lacey (born 1974) is an Irish retired Gaelic footballer who played as a right corner-back for the Tipperary and Kildare senior teams. Born in Tipperary, Lacey first arrived on the inter-county scene at the age of seventeen when he first linked up with the Tipperary minor hurling team before later joining the under-21 football side. He joined the senior football panel during the 1995 championship. Lacey immediately became a regular member of the starting fifteen before later joining the Kildare senior team. Throughout his career he won two Leinster medals and one Tommy Murphy Cup medal. Lacey was a member of the Munster and Leinster inter-provincial teams on a number of occasions. Jarlath Regan (born 1980) is a London-based Irish comedian and podcaster. Maynooth GAA (Irish: Cumann Lúthchleas Gael Máigh Núad) is a Gaelic Athletic Association (GAA) club in Maynooth, County Kildare, Ireland. Gaelic football ( ga, Peil Ghaelach; short name '), commonly known as simply Gaelic, GAA or Football is an Irish team sport. It is played between two teams of 15 players on a rectangular grass pitch. The objective of the sport is to score by kicking or punching the ball into the other team's goals (3 points) or between two upright posts above the goals and over a crossbar above the ground (1 point). Players advance the football up the field with a combination of carrying, bouncing, kicking, hand-passing, and soloing (dropping the ball and then toe-kicking the ball upward into the hands).
