Torben Chris
Torben Chris Nielsen (born 13 February 1977 in Give) is a Danish standup comedian. Media attention towards him began to surface during various events such as the DM in stand-up 2003 Comedy Fight Club on TV 2 Zulu and host of Comedy Zoo. Career In 2003 he qualified for the semifinals of the championship in stand-up with his 12th show ever. The following year he made it to 4th place, and while Torben Chris completed his teacher training at Jelling College, he played on with stand-up. In 2005 he gave two shows at that year's Jelling Music Festival after winning a talent competition at Vejle Local Radio. In 2006, Torben Chris was placed at number 3 at DM in stand-up and has since appeared several times on Comedy Zoo, Kulcaféen, numerous danish venues and clubs around the country as well as at major international festivals. TV2 Zulu
TV 2 Zulu is a Danish television station and a sister channel to TV 2 Denmark. It is primarily aimed at viewers between 15 and 30 years of age. TV2 Zulu has been noted for Danish comedy shows and programmes such as ''Langt fra Las Vegas'', ''Gustne Gensyn'', '' P.I.S.'', ''Klovn'' and ''FC Zulu'', the latter of which was nominated for an International Emmy in 2005 for best Non-scripted Entertainment. From 2000 to 2007, TV2 Zulu broadcast live NFL games. TV2 Zulu is also known for its award shows such as Zulu Awards and Zulu Comedy Galla. TV 2 (''TV to'') is a Danish government-owned broadcast and subscription television station in Denmark based in Odense, Funen. History Since 1949, Danmarks Radio had been the sole provider of television in Denmark. Wanting to end the monopoly, the Danish Parliament voted on 30 May 1986, to create TV2, as a second choice for public service television. DR (), officially the Danish Broadcasting Corporation in English, is a Danish public-service radio and television broadcasting company.
