Toni Brutscher
Toni Brutscher (born 15 November 1925 in Oberstdorf – 16 November 1983) was a West German ski jumper who competed during the 1950s. He finished fourth in the individual large hill event at the 1952 Winter Olympics in Oslo Oslo ( , , or ; sma, Oslove) is the capital and most populous city of Norway. Oberstdorf ( Low Alemannic: ''Oberschdorf'') is a municipality and skiing and hiking town in Germany, located in the Allgäu region of the Bavarian Alps. It is the southernmost settlement in Germany and one of its highest towns. At the center of Oberstdorf is a church whose tall spire serves as a landmark for navigating around town. Ski jumping is a winter sport in which competitors aim to achieve the farthest jump after sliding down on their skis from a specially designed curved ramp. Along with jump length, competitor's aerial style and other factors also affect the final score. Ski jumping was first contested in Norway in the late 19th century, and later spread through Europe and North America in the early 20th century. Along with cross-country skiing, it constitutes the traditional group of Nordic skiing disciplines.
