Tomáš Mojžíš
Tomáš Mojžíš (born May 2, 1982) is a Czech professional ice hockey defenceman playing for Slovan Bratislava of the Kontinental Hockey League. Playing career Mojžíš was drafted in the eighth round, 246th overall, by the Toronto Maple Leafs in the 2001 NHL Entry Draft. He has played for HC Pardubice (Czech Jr.), the Moose Jaw Warriors (WHL), Seattle Thunderbirds (WHL), Manitoba Moose (AHL), Peoria Rivermen (AHL), St. Louis Blues (NHL), and Vancouver Canucks (NHL). He was a member of the Czech national inline hockey team at the 2008 Men's World Inline Hockey Championships in Bratislava, Slovakia. On July 7, 2008, Mojžíš signed a multi-year contract with the Minnesota Wild. Tomáš featured in only four games with the Wild before he was later assigned to affiliate, the Houston Aeros for the majority of the 2008–09 season. HC Slovan Bratislava
Hockey Club Slovan Bratislava ( sk, Hokejový klub Slovan Bratislava) is a professional ice hockey club based in Bratislava, Slovakia. In 2012, it left the Slovak Extraliga and joined the international Kontinental Hockey League (KHL). In 2019, it returned to the Tipos Extraliga. The club has won nine Slovak championships (most recently in 2022), one Czechoslovak championship (1979) and one IIHF Continental Cup (2004), making it the second most successful hockey club in Slovak history after their biggest rival HC Košice. Modo Hockey (or MoDo with uppercase letters) is a professional ice hockey club in Örnsköldsvik, Sweden. The team plays in Sweden's second-tier league HockeyAllsvenskan. The Houston Aeros were a professional ice hockey team in the International Hockey League (IHL) and the American Hockey League (AHL). The team played in Houston, Texas, at The Summit (renamed Compaq Center in 1998) from 1994 until 2003 and the Toyota Center from 2003 to 2013. 2008 Men's World Inline Hockey Championships
The 2008 IIHF Inline Hockey World Championship was the 12th IIHF Inline Hockey World Championship, an international inline hockey tournament run by the International Ice Hockey Federation. The World Championship runs alongside the 2008 IIHF Inline Hockey World Championship Division I tournament and took place between 21 and 28 June 2008 in Bratislava, Slovakia. The Peoria Rivermen were a professional ice hockey team in the American Hockey League. They played in Peoria, Illinois, at the Peoria Civic Center, Carver Arena. The Manitoba Moose are a professional ice hockey team based in Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada, and a member of the American Hockey League (AHL).
