Manitoba Moose
The Manitoba Moose are a professional ice hockey team based in Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada, and a member of the American Hockey League (AHL). The team plays its home games at Canada Life Centre, the home arena of its parent club, Winnipeg Jets of the National Hockey League (NHL). The franchise was founded in 1994 as the Minnesota Moose, then playing in the International Hockey League (1945–2001), International Hockey League (IHL). The Moose played fifteen seasons—five in the IHL (1996–2001) and ten in the AHL (2001–2011)—during their first tenure in Winnipeg. This was followed by four seasons in St. John's, Newfoundland and Labrador, (2011–2015) during which the team was known as the St. John's IceCaps. The Minnesota Moose were an American professional ice hockey team based out of Saint Paul, Minnesota that played in the International Hockey League from 1994 to 1996. History Following the departure of the National Hockey League's Minnesota North Stars in 1993, the state of Minnesota was left without a professional hockey team. To fill that void, the Minnesota Moose were founded the following year. The team began play in the IHL for the 1994–1995 season, using the Saint Paul Civic Center at its home arena, with some games in Minneapolis's Target Center. Frank Serratore
Frank Serratore (born August 24, 1957) is an Americans, American ice hockey coach, currently with the Air Force Falcons men's ice hockey team. He formerly coached professional hockey in the International Hockey League (1945-2001), International Hockey League with the Minnesota Moose from 1994 to 1996. Career Serratore played two seasons with the St. Paul Vulcans of the Midwest Junior Hockey League and later joined the Western Michigan Broncos men's ice hockey program while earning his degree in physical education and athletic administration. Jean Perron
Jean Perron (born October 5, 1946) is a Canadian ice hockey coach and sports commentator, best known for being the 16th head coach of the Montreal Canadiens, serving from 1985 to 1988. Perron has more recently served as the head coach for Israel's men's national teams. Coaching career Born in Saint-Isidore-d'Auckland, Quebec, Perron was an assistant coach with the National Hockey League's Montreal Canadiens under Jacques Lemaire for one season before being named head coach in 1985. Winnipeg Arena was an indoor arena located in the Polo Park district of Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada. Mark Chipman
Mark Chipman, (born 1960) is a Canadian hockey executive, businessman, and lawyer. Chipman is best known as the chairman of True North Sports & Entertainment, which owns the Winnipeg Jets of the National Hockey League and Canada Life Centre in Winnipeg, Manitoba. He is also the team's governor and currently a member of the National Hockey League Board of Governors' Executive Committee.
