Tomislav Pinter
Tomislav Pinter (16 June 1926 – 15 August 2008) was a Croatian cinematographer, regarded as the most significant cinematographer in Croatian cinema due to the artistic quality of his work and his prolific career spanning almost five decades. After finishing high school Pinter enrolled at the Academy of Fine Arts Zagreb in 1946 to study painting, but he soon dropped out and devoted himself entirely to cinematography. He began working at the Jadran Film studio in 1945, at first assisting more experienced cinematographers, and in 1948 he started working independently.http://www.hfs.hr/doc/ljetopis/hfl55-web.pdf He started shooting documentary shorts in the early 1950s and his first feature was the 1960 film '' Point 905'' (''Kota 905'', directed by Mate Relja). The Vladimir Nazor Award ( hr, Nagrada Vladimir Nazor) is a Croatian prize for arts and culture established in 1959 and awarded every year by the Ministry of Culture. Named after the writer Vladimir Nazor (1876–1949), the prize is awarded to Croatian artists for achievements in six different fields of art and culture, and in each category every year two separate prizes are awarded - one for life achievement (for overall contributions to their respective field), and another one, commonly referred to as the "annual award", for a single piece of outstanding work in the field created over the previous 12 months. ''I Even Met Happy Gypsies'' is a 1967 Yugoslav film by Serbian director Aleksandar Petrović. Its original Serbian title is ''Skupljači perja'', which means ''The Feather Gatherers''. The film is centered on Romani people's life in a village in northern Vojvodina, but it also deals with subtler themes such as love, ethnic and social relationships. ''Monday or Tuesday'' ( sh, Ponedjeljak ili utorak) is a 1966 Yugoslav drama film directed by Vatroslav Mimica starring Slobodan Dimitrijević. Plot The film follows a day in the life of a divorced Zagreb journalist Marko Požgaj (played by Dimitrijević), an average modern intellectual who goes about his daily business.
