Tomas Norström
Stig Tomas Norström (23 May 1956 – 3 October 2021) was a Swedish actor and film director. He also recorded audiobooks, among them J. R. R. Tolkien's works. Norström studied at the Swedish National Academy of Mime and Acting until 1981, together with Jessica Zandén, Maria Johansson, Sissela Kyle, and Peter Stormare. ''The Hunters'' ( sv, Jägarna) is a Swedish thriller film directed by Kjell Sundvall, which was released to cinemas in Sweden on 31 January 1996. A police officer from Stockholm moves back to his hometown Älvsbyn in Norrland, in northern Sweden. He starts to work on a long-running reindeer poaching case and soon discovers that his brother is involved. The film was one of the biggest Swedish box-office hits ever, grossing over $6 million, and received two Guldbagge Awards for Best Direction (Kjell Sundvall) and Best Supporting Actor (Lennart Jähkel). It was also nominated for Best Actor (Rolf Lassgård), Best Cinematography and Best Screenplay. ''Bert'' is a Swedish television series with 12 episodes, based on the ''Bert Diaries'' by Anders Jacobsson and Sören Olsson, and originally airing over SVT each Saturday evening during the period of 1 October-17 December 1994. It was directed by Tomas Alfredson and Svante Kettner. The theme song was performed by Lill-Babs, and called " Älskade ängel". Another song regaining revival with the TV series was Sven-Olof Sandberg's 1938 success " Är det så här när man är kär".
