Tom Quigley
Thomas J. Quigley is a politician from Pennsylvania. He represented the 146th Legislative District in Pennsylvania House of Representatives for four terms. Career Quigley was elected mayor of Royersford in 2001. He was a Royersford Borough Councilman from 1999 to 2001. Shortly before his tenure as a state representative, Quigley worked as a project leader for an investment firm. Royersford, PA
Royersford is a borough in Montgomery County, Pennsylvania, United States, northwest of Philadelphia, on the Schuylkill River. History The town drew its name from the location of a ford across the Schuylkill River, which happened to be adjacent to land owned by the Royer family. Early in the twentieth century, it had several stove factories, two glass and bottle works, hosiery and silk mills, a dye and bleaching plant, manufactories of bricks, gas meters, stockings, shirts, shafting parts, wagons, agricultural implements, etc. The population stood at 2,607 people in 1900, and at 3,073 in 1910. The population was 4,940 at the 2020 census. The borough was formed from the southeastern corner of Limerick Township in 1879. Royersford served by the Spring-Ford Area School District. Mark Painter (born August 3, 1957) is a former Democratic member of the Pennsylvania House of Representatives. He represented the 146th District from 2013 until 2015. The district is located in Montgomery County, including Limerick Township, Lower Pottsgrove Township, Perkiomen Township, Trappe, Royersford, and parts of Pottstown. Early life Mark Painter was born in Stowe, Pennsylvania and graduated from Pottsgrove High School in 1974. He then attended the University of Pennsylvania, where he earned degrees in electrical engineering and law, graduating in 1978. After his two sons were diagnosed with autism, Painter became concerned with the lack of access to special education programs. Along with his wife, he helped organize parents of special needs children to help develop new programs for students with autism.
