Timberland is a village in the North Kesteven district of Lincolnshire, England. The population of the civil parish (including Thorpe Tilney) at the 2011 census was 578. It is situated north-east from Sleaford, and on the Timberland Fen. Its closest neighbouring village is Martin, North Kesteven, Martin, less than to the north. History Genealogical records began around the 17th century showing that Timberland was a medieval village, possibly a small market town. The parischurchis dedicated to Andrew the Apostle, St Andrew, and its parish records date back even further, to 1563. The village Scopwick and Timberland railway station is now closed. Timberland LLC is an American manufacturer and retailer of outdoor footwear, owned by VF Corporation and founded in Boston, Massachusetts in 1952. The company also sells apparel and accessories including watches, eyewear, and leather goods. Timberland's corporate headquarters are located in Stratham, New Hampshire. History In 1952, Nathan Swartz, a shoemaker from Ukraine, bought half-interest in the Abington Shoe Company in Boston, Massachusetts. Swartz and his sons eventually acquired the remaining shares. Through the 1960s the company specialized in making private-label boots and shoes for other brands. In 1969, Abington moved to Newmarket, New Hampshire and focused on producing waterproof boots made with injection molding, capable of withstanding the winters of the region. Timberland Regional Library (TRL) is a public library system serving the residents of western Washington state, United States including Grays Harbor, Lewis, Mason, Pacific, and Thurston counties. Timberland High School is the second largest of the four high schools in the Wentzville R-IV School District and fourth largest high school in St. Charles County, Missouri. The school was established as an annex in 2000 and as an independent high school in 2002. The 2020-21 enrollment was 1,845.
