Wendy Chen Hsuan-yu (Traditional Chinese: ; born 1 June 1993) is an Australian badminton player who has represented her country at the 2016 Rio and 2020 Tokyo Olympic Games. Career Badminton was the family sport and all of Chen's family played. She excelled in her high school years and represented her school in both junior and senior Badminton events. She then turned professional and made her International debut for badminton in 2012. At the 2016 Rio Olympics, Chen made her Olympic debut representing Australia. Setyana Daniella Florensia Mapasa (born 15 August 1995) is an Indonesian-born Australian badminton player. Mapasa won a silver medal at the 2013 BWF World Junior Championships mixed team when she represented Indonesia. She officially became an Australian citizen in 2014. She was selected to join the national team compete at the 2018 Commonwealth Games in Gold Coast, Australia. She was four times women's doubles Oceania champions from 2017 to 2020 with her partner Gronya Somerville, also two times champion in the mixed doubles event in 2017 and 2018 alongside Sawan Serasinghe. Gronya Somerville (born 10 May 1995) is an Australian badminton player specializing in doubles. She has won nine Oceania Championships titles, six in the women's doubles and three in the mixed doubles. Personal life Somerville, born to an Australian mother of Anglo-Celtic origin and a Chinese father, became famous when it was revealed that she is the descendant of a prominent Qing dynasty political reformer, Kang Youwei. She is studying exercise science at Victoria University. Melbourne Sports Centres - MSAC is an international sporting venue located in Albert Park, Victoria, Australia. The centre was opened on 24 July 1997 at a construction cost of A$65 million. The cost was funded by the State Government of Victoria and the City of Port Phillip.
